    The device works exactly as indicated with a manual cook. The steaks were excellent. I didn’t connect or use the app because it requires a paid subscription. That is not well communicated to the purchaser. I will continue to use it manually, but i refuse to succumb to a paid subscription.

    I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my mid 20’s son who is interested in cooking. It was an absolute hit and he will finally be able to perfect steak cooking skills. I win mom of the year!
