Setup was terrible, I used the app to find the towers but I got only 3 stations. After 2 hours of rotating and moving the antenna on the roof I gave up!

    Perfect for my needs

I finally cut out DirecTV after 7 years of calling customer service back annually to try to negotiate a better rate after the promotional period ended, plus the years before that calling cable annually to do the same. I took the satellite dish down and just used the existing base to attach the antenna, then hooked up the existing cable line to the antenna to service the two televisions in my home. Definitely take the dish down first to leave the base and don't try to just attach it to one of the stabilizing legs, as I tried that first, but the dish itself seems to interfere with the incoming signal. I used the recommended app to aim the antenna in the most ideal direction and 100 percent of the available channels are coming in clear without any degradation of the signal strength. At first, I had the antenna hooked directly to one television in the living room, but I was admittedly having some trouble with the signal where several channels were either having signal strength issues and were virtually unwatchable, or having pixilation about every 20 seconds. Moving it outside to where the satellite dish was made all the difference and I am now very satisfied with my purchase. I originally tried the Leaf 50 by Mohu, but was having the same trouble with signal strength and pixilation no matter where I moved it in the room.

Hi Treadmill! We appreciate you trying our product and providing feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. There are various reasons why an antenna may not pick up certain channels. For instance, placing an antenna in the right location is the key to getting better signals. If you happened to place the antenna on the floor, for example, the signals may not have been available are very strong low to the floor. For indoor purposes, even an indoor/outdoor antenna needs to be up high. Towers are 1500 feet up in the air. Most of those signals are not pointing down, so we always recommend placing the antenna up as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception. We recommend calling our tech support team at 877-825-5572 or chat with us online at https://www.antennasdirect.com, and they will perform a free home signal analysis. This should help pinpoint what the problem is. We are available 7 days a week to help. antennasdirect

Greetings! Thank you for your feedback on our ClearStream 2MAX. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. With the ClearStream 2MAX, most people tend to place the antenna on the floor. The towers are 1500 feet up in the air, so the higher you can get your antenna the better. Also, you always need to rescan the TV for channels when you move the antenna. This could take a few attempts. If this doesn’t work for you, please contact our support team so they can make a recommendation for the right antenna for your location. They’ll need a little more information from you to perform a free signal analysis. 1-877-825-5572 or chat with us at antennasdirect.com. We appreciate your business! antennasdirect

I live 50 miles north of Dallas. We purchased a flat wall antenna, but we channel clarity is inconsistent. I thought we would upgrade to a bigger antenna and place it in the attic for height. This antenna was worse over the one we were using. 10 to 16 channels less over the more basic version. Antenna might be good at less than 30 mile range. I returned.

Hello Jaydeekay! We appreciate your purchase and feedback of our ClearStream 2MAX Antenna. Every location is different and there are many factors that could be causing interference with the TV signals, such as other electronics in your living space or where the towers are located could be on the opposite side of your home. Your home could also be made of materials, such as brick or metal and these materials block TV signals. Also, With the ClearStream 2MAX, most people tend to place the antenna on the floor. The towers are 1500 feet up in the air, so the higher you can get your antenna the better. You should also always need to rescan the TV for channels when you move the antenna. This could take a few attempts. If these tips do not work for you, please contact our support team so they can make a recommendation for the right antenna for your location. Hello there from Antennas Direct! We apologize this has been your experience so far. When changing from one antenna to a new antenna, you must perform another channel scan after installing the new antenna. The TV tuner is already locked in on the frequencies that were being received by the old antenna, therefore you must perform a new channel scan for the newly attached antenna. Also, we recommend using our free app Antenna Point to make sure your antenna is aimed in the direction of the TV towers. Please call us at 877-825-5572 if you have any questions, or would like us to help you troubleshoot the antenna setup and installation. We are here 7 days a week to help. Thank you. antennasdirect

This replaced a cheap Amazon antenna. I have bought antennas from Walmart and Amazon and have had good ones and bad. The current antenna kept loosing the signal or it would come and go, but on the major channels usually I could get solid reception. With this new antenna I got stellar reception and crystal clear picture. The signal stayed solid on all channels. I had trouble before getting PBS and with this antenna I can get all four channels of PBS. I have it in my house right up behind the TV. I have the TV in a cut out hole above the fireplace like most houses here in Raleigh NC. The location helps hide this antenna. It is pretty big. It does come with a stand for in the house and you don't have to mount it on the pole. All other antennas could not get this good of reception. But then again today is the first day I've had it. I'll let you know if I end up returning it after a week or so. But I'm real happy with it right now. Thanks Best Buy.

    Rotate and Scan

    Posted .

I wanted to watch ABC, CBS, CW, Fox and NBC over the air from 40 miles away so, with the heading and a compass app, I tried the ClearStream 2V, the ClearStream 4V and ClearStream 2MAX in the attic with an amplifier and outside yet, none of them worked. Finally, I started rotating clockwise the 2MAX outside and started scanning for channels when suddenly on the third try I was able to watch all the channels I wanted plus several more. Since every antenna is going to be in a unique geographical position, my advice is to rotate and scan until you find the best reception possible in your area.
