The towers are 1500 feet up in the air, so the higher you can get your antenna the better. Also, you always need to rescan the TV for channels when you move the antenna. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike the somewhat useless rectangular paper/plastic antennas, this one actually works to pull in every local station in my area that I care about. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to start with as if it works for you, you won't need anything better. I have it sitting in the corner of the room on the floor and didn't even have to mount it outside to get five green circles for dozens of local stations in the Tablo Dual DVR setup menu. The local transmission towers are about thirty miles away, so this works very well for my situation.

The second on was a curved antenna which does a decent job. I still have it in use. I then bought a flat leaf antenna for the bedroom. Terrible choice. Rated for more distance than the curved on but got fewer channels. Returned it and got this Clearstream 2max. Installed it in the attic because of its size, did a channel scan. and still can't believe it. I can now get every network and independent station there is with NO pixalation. I should have spent the money up front to begin with. The next step is to return tne digital converter boxes and discontinue my cable tv. Just keep internet and fax line.

Posted .It does work with a smart TV. You need to scan the TV for channels using your remote control. If you are not receiving all the available channels, you need to move the antenna and rescan the tv for channels.

We hope you scanned your TV for channels when you hooked up the antenna and moved the antenna to different locations to try a couple areas in your home. Some signals are not present down lower to the ground. This might be why the antenna was not successful in receiving signals. Even though you did not keep our antenna, we do encourage folks to continue to scan their TVs for channels as networks are adding new ones all the time.
