If you miss the convenience of a menu and recording shows I recommend the purchase of a TiVo with it.

Excellent product. I usually tune in 15 to 30 channels, depending on the location of the home. Works very well.

Set up was easy even though i was concerned about a tree in the line of site of most of the stations in my area.
