All the reviews I read said that this device should be able to pick up reception from a distance away. Also, they stated that you can put this inside or outside. I had it inside my apartment and I was not able to pick up any stations. I live in a suburb of Plover WI. It was tricky doing the assembly of the pieces that came with it. just put it in a bigger box with all the things put together. . . was very disappointed with the device. Tried about 4 or 5 different antennas and was very disappointed that none of them picked up any channels Am using a Radioshack antenna that I borrowed from my cousin and get anywhere from 3 - 9 channels in a day depending on the weather. This antenna is over 10 years old and works better than all this new stuff.

This was rated as one of better ones. With an estimate range of 60-65 miles. I have it well above the required 30 feet and i barely get 40 mile range. Also it is not omni-directional so you have keep moving it around to improve the signal

I purchased this in hopes of getting rid of cable but unfortunately I was unable to get a signal. Probably not the fault of the antenna itself but more my location. (Mid-Coast Maine). Might have worked if I was closer to some towers.

I must say that I was skeptical about this antenna. I live about 37 miles from the towers that broadcast the networks. I am too far to use an interior antenna, and I did not want a huge outdoor antenna either. I bought this as a recommendation from one of my neighbors and put it in the attic. Boy was I pleased with the reception I got. I just got rid of Directv and I have to say the picture is just as good, if not better than what I was paying $110.00 a month for. I get all of the local channels that I was hoping for, and I don't have to pay for it at all. I did have to get and amplifier to boost the signal, but with the cost of the amplifier ($25# and the antenna #$100) I barely spent one month of directv and now I don't have to pay for it ever again. I used the existing lines that were run and just hooked the antenna up to the amplifier and then hooked that to the cable lines. It did take a little trial and error to get the optimal reception by turning the antenna in the correct direction of the towers, but once I did, it has been smooth sailing. If you live in Gloucester county, don't hesitate to get this antenna. Where I live, I am just outside of the range of most inside antennas. I tried a few different ones before I came across this at bestbuy. It states that is an outdoor antenna, but I just put it in my attic and it works like a champ. I couldn't be happier. If you are even thinking about this antenna, stop reading this and go and buy it. You won't be dissappointed

We are at the limits of this items range and nothing happened. Sot of expected this. Best Buy took it back, no problem.. The reason for 2 stars instead of 0 is because it appears to be a well made item and may work fine at 1/2 the distance.

This thing is big and looked more like art than an antenna. That could be ok for some. Doesn't matter. What matters is I have a super cheap $20 antenna and get way more channels.

I tried antenna outside apt 10 foot high. I also tried in attic. Was only able to receive 5 stations. My neighbors whom are facing television stations pick up 12 stations with a much cheaper antenna.

The antenna said on the box that it would work inside and outside the house, it works poorly inside the house, it would only pickup six channels and not very good then.

Try to get the clearest view towards the broad towers, meaning the least obstructed view. If performance is still lackluster, you may need to go to an outdoor installation. Thanks. Antennasdirect

Seems well-made, but did not work for me. Appears to be made fairly stable. But after hook up to various televisions I could not pick up the desired stations

The assembly directions were way too complicated. Plus there was a conflict in terms/parts which was the game breaker. Never had it connected to the TV.

    Better than YAGI

    Posted .

I finally decided to dump the dish and was left with my 2 Yagi type antennas that were more of a backup when Dish was out. I needed 2 because the towers are around 65 degrees apart. When I got my TiVo, they worked until it got windy or stormy and had signal strength issues. So, I tried a couple other antennas, and nothing better. I picked this up just to try it knowing I would need 2. Okay, so I mounted it on the old Dish mast facing due North just to see what would happen since the specs say this has a 70 degree spread. It works. I am just amazed that it picked up the UHF and one Fox VHF from both directions. My towers are at 351 and 48 degrees and it does it. Signal strength on the TiVo OTA blasts up to about 80-84 and then settles at 72 on every channel. Don't know why it backs down but I suspect that it's a firmware issue with TiVo and not the antenna. Long story short, channels are rock solid, even in the 40 mph wind we are getting right now. And this antenna doesn't blow around like my old aluminum Yagi's did. This one should be on your short list. Oh ya, for reference antennaweb.org has me listed at 13-17 miles from both tower farms with trees in the way everywhere. Great buy since I now only have to worry about 1 antenna and cable. Do be patient putting it together. Took me a couple tries to get it right.

    Great Antenna

I already have Dish, with my local channels, but they dont offer the sub-channels that my local channel's offer. So, i decided to get a Outdoor HDTV antenna, i had HDTV amplfied rabbit ears, but they didnt pick up all the channels i wanted locallly. So after reading a ton of review's on here, i decided to get one of these Clearstream 2V antenna's. And what made it even easier, was i got it half price for being an "Open-box" item in excellent shape. They still have another one on the site as of this review for $55.99-WHAT A DEAL!!. Anyways, got this hooked up, and lucky enough again, that i had an old Dish mount pole on the side of my house, and the antenna mounted right up to it, so i didnt have to use the included mount, or have to drill :) After connecting to my tv, i picked up everything i wanted locally, and its nice and clear, couldn't be happier, it was pretty simple to assemble, there is Video's on Youtube that show you how also. I would HIGHLY recommend this antenna.

I wanted good TV reception, and this product was recommended by salesperson. When I looked at the amount of assembly, and realized it was designed for outside installation, I returned this product. It was not what I required, and traded it in for a different model, which is more in line with what my needs were. Another salesperson was surprised that this product was recommended for my situation as explained.

We showed we should have access to 30 HD channels, but I knew buildings around might make it a challenge. We got two channels with cheap antenna that came with TV. These two came in a little (ever so slightly) with this antenna, but it didn't pick up additional that should be the exact same angle and only an additional two miles. Returned with no issue after trying at another house any getting same result.
