Too big and ugly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If a structure of fifty characters is required,it means the review is meaningless-you want redundancy.

Excellent!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've gone through quite a few antennae including a omnidirectional roof mounted antenna that broke with a good windstorm. Bought a trek flat indoor antenna then tried that with an amplifier all of that cost more than this piece of excellent product ( I got an open box one). Always had to fiddle with it to get decent reception. This one INSIDE gives me anywhere from 32 to 53 channels depending on where I point it ( or not at times) I can get channels from Wisconsin all the way to Indiana including Chicago did in mention this is all from INSIDE!! No amplifier needed crystal clear, don't waste your money on other antennaes believe me I have and I am now set....why didn't I try this sooner....can't comment on durability yet but I'm betting this will hold up nicely and a much better picture than cable could ever give me without paying for Their HD technology...lol

Great Antenna to receive HDTV over the air
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this antenna after researching options for receiving free broadcast signals. Set it up in the house and connected to a digital TV. We were able to pull in signals from around us in York, PA, along with signals from Harrisburg (30 miles), and signals from Philadelphia (75 miles). Based on this initial test, decided to keep it and set it up for the whole house, mounting it in the attic. Ran a cable from the antenna in the attic to our cable box in the garage, splitting the signal to 3 TV's. Signal strength was not strong enough, so had to buy an amplifier, and install it near the antenna. For use as a whole house antenna, we still pick up the York & Harrisburg signals (30 miles) but cannot pull in the Philadelphia stations. For reference, our house is on a hill in the area (not in a valley), and while the antenna is in the attic, the signals we are picking up are only having to travel through the side of our house, not any asphalt shingles. If you are looking for a whole house antenna with broadcast towers in 30 miles, this will probably work. If you are just connecting to one TV, it will probably pick up signals from much further away. Just remember, you may need to buy an amplifier for it.

Antenna range is great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live inbetween broadcasting stations of two major cities in Wisconsin. I wasn't expecting to recieve such great reception from both areas. The range I needed was approx. 60 miles or more from each city. Unbelievable the reception I am recieving from all stations. It's the same as my tv that is hooked up to the apartment complex antenna on the roof. I have used it now for a year and am very satisfied with the reception all year around. I have it sitting right next to the tv in my bedroom but I'm sure it can be put anywhere as stated in ad. I tried the cheaper ones with terrible results. I don;t have to worry about lost signals on any of the channels anymore. So glad I found this. I hope it works as well for you as it does for me.

PERFECT for rural homes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After my parents grew tired of paying the insane satellite TV prices, and with highspeed internet not being available at the time, well it was, but only satellite via HughesNet or DishNet, and with their 10GB data caps, streaming wasn't an option. Living 40 miles from St Louis, MO and 45 miles from Springfield, IL (as the crow flies) we were able to get all of the channels from both places.

Some minor assembly, but works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Assembly was straight forward and not difficult. Easier than Ikea furniture. I waited to review this after I had it installed. I bought it and hooked it up to the TV right away. I immediately got 50+ channels on the first floor in the corner of the house in the opposite direction of the transmission antennas. If I was going to have interference with the signal this would be the time. I immediately got all of the local channels, except a weak signal for CBS, which is typical for the Chicagoland area. I got it mounted in the attic, ran a 50' RG6 coaxial cable to my splitter in the basement to all TV's in the house', reran the channel search and immediately had 81 channels to all TV's in perfect picture. I do have a signal amplifier on the splitter that was leftover from having cable. Overall, the installation could be a bit tricky for someone who isn't a DIYer, but I found it extremely easy and am extremely satisfied overall.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First i installed in my attic with radiant barrier, did not work so well picked up about 10 channels. None of the good local channels i wanted. But then I decided to put outside and BAM!! My tv said it picked up 99 channels, every channel i wanted every single local in clear HD. I was really impressed glad i took it out of the attic. I bought another for my dad installed on his roof and he is happy as ever it picks up all his spanish channels, his old antenna in the attic wasnt cutting it. I have a splitter to 4 tv's and they all pick up every channel!

better than antenna twice its size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my 5 ft predigital tv age antenna with this. In central nj, I now get all 54 channels with full steady picture. No more fluctuations that depended on time of day or weather.

Great Antenna
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this antenna because we were tired of paying more than $100 a month for cable service we didn't use. We installed this in our attic and simply reversed most of the splitters in the existing cables. We are about 38 air miles from the Philadelphia market and between that and the NJ PBS stations we are picking up more than 35 channels. I'm seriously considering moving this outside to a chimney mounted mast. Fortunately, the stations we can pull in are all within about 20 degrees east to west of each other. The picture and sound quality far surpass that of the expensive cable company. We have 6 tuners hooked to this antenna (one is computer with TV tuner) and all pull in the major networks plus Fox and others. 30 years ago, when cable was $17 a month for a much better picture than the old OTA signals, I couldn't wait to sign up. Now, the OTA digital picture is so much better. Coupled with Netflix and Roku, this provides more than enough choices. I hope to never have to go back to paying for TV again.
