I live about 35 miles from Chicago were the main antennas are located for the region. I was never able to get channel 2 (CBS) due to it's being on a VHF frequency and my old antenna, even though it was amplified, could not adequately get a good signal. With this antenna, I get a solid signal for the channel 2, and it works great too for all the other broadcast stations. I even have it inside and it works well.

I tried the indoor long range antennas and has very spotty results. I tried multiple locations and multiple rooms without consistent luck. So, went for the outdoor antenna. This antenna did very well. At first I received a handful of channels, but after calling the support line, and actually speaking to a human almost immediately, we changed the direction ever so slightly and I pick up over 40 channels now. I live just south of Charlotte, NC and this extremely light antenna works great. Strongly recommend, but before mounting, if possible, connect it and place it approximately where want it to test. I also connected this directly to my home panel in outside of house and works perfect on all three of my tv's. My only hesitation in 5 stars, is no matter where I aim it, I cannot pick up ABC. But that is what Hulu is for!

I live 40 miles in central Kansas from the nearest transmitter. I installed it outdoors on our roof of a ranch style home about 4 feet off the roof, about 20' from the ground. I receive ALL of the stations available with excellent reception! I used premium coax cable, for two TV's with a 50' run of cable to a splitter and then another 50' run to one TV and a 12" foot run to another. No amplifier was used and all stations (28) come in perfect. antennapoint.com was used to locate the transmitters and their heading, and used the compass app on my iPhone to point the antenna to the correct heading to maximize the reception when I attached it to the mast..

I was very skeptical about the use of an antenna for television(I remember aluminum foil and hangers and standing in just the right spot just to see snow), but I am absolutely fed up with Brighthouse robbing me every month. I bought this at about 7:30, picked my kids up from basketball practice, and I had it assembled scanned three times and was watching the clearest HDTV channels in 1080p that I have every seen on television by 9:30. I love this thing and I called all my friends and family to let them know that I have 70 clear free channels and I will never go back to cable. Please keep in mind that you have to turn it in the right direction which can take some trial and error, but it will let you know when you run your scan that you only got a small amount of channels so just move it in another direction, but when you get it, it is so well worth it.

Our area is in the middle of a war between the NBC channel and Time Warner Cable. I live about 35 miles away from the Milwaukee tv towers. We first tried an $25 GE amplified inside antenna - it picked up 9 channels, but would drop reception all the time. With football starting, I wanted something to work. We picked this one up on sale for $73. Within 10 minutes we were up and running and the tv picked up 39 channels. While it is a little big, I was able to put the antenna behind my corner unit tv, so it is hidden from view. It may be a little expensive, but it worked very well. It will be great to have for the next cable provider/ channel war.

I live 1/2 way between Green Bay and Milwaukee, 50+ miles each direction. I get over 30 channels, most in high def. First bidirectional antenna that actually works! I get more channels than on Uverse basic, so I dropped Att.

Yesterday I spent an hour trying to get an RCA antenna that I bought at Walmart to work. I directly connected it to my tv with a 25ft coax cable. No signal. I took the antenna out on my deck, stood on a ladder (my shins were touching my gutters), taped the antenna to a tiki torch and held it in the air as high as I could reach. STILL no signal. In desperation I went to Best Buy tonight to look for a more beefy antenna. I decided to take a chance on this unit, hoping that it's unique design would pick up the weakest of signals. Like the night before, I connected this unit to my tv with the same 25ft cable. I turned on my tv and low and behold I had a picture. Huh? I had to double check to make sure my tv input wasn't on my direct tv signal. It wasn't. The part of this review that makes this read worthwhile is the fact that the antenna was lying flat on my bed the whole time I got a signal. I didn't even need to climb in my attic. I simply held it over my head and the signal maxed. This thing is far superior to any other antenna I have tried. If you are having any issues with weak signal, I suggest you give this antenna a shot

Was a little tricky putting together and setting up. But it brings in 40 channels crystal clear. And I do not have to pay to receive them! If you want to cut your cable, this is the one to buy. If you will be running a long cable from the antenna to your TV (longer than 10 feet), I would suggest that you purchase a powered signal amplifier.

Mounted the antenna on my attic floor and received great reception not only through the tile roof but through the Tech Shield as well. Am getting over 50 HD channels and the HD picture is a lot clearer than what I was getting from my cable provider. I connected the coax from the antenna to a hub panel and am getting strong reception at 6 locations in the house. Awesome. If you add this antenna to a smart TV or Roku 2 you have beat the cable companies at their own game. With Best Buys New return policy, you can't go wrong. Slick

i returned my indoor antenna due to poor reception. i had literally move it around to get better reception. I was skeptical about this merely due to size and due to the fact that its for outdoors, but it has gotten more channels and clarity without having to move the antenna around. In fact, the antenna is mounted on one place and its out doors so it gets very good reception. every channel scanned comes out super clean. I placed this inside the house and looks very good. Price is totally worth it. I wouldn't recommend anyone anything too cheap as it will be inconvenient every time when they're watching TV. I highly recommend this product. But if size and price doesn't matter, i would recommend this same product but with a $150 price tag. More expensive antenna will give you far more channels and better reception with clarity.

Had this up and running within two hours. We get over 50 clear, crisp, channel between the Milwaukee and Chicago stations. At the same time we purchased this we purchased a Rucko, combining the two with internet streaming we don't miss our cable at all. We have been through a couple of heavy rain and snow storms with no ill effects. Great Value for the money.

I live in the middle of no where and I'm 35 Miles (line of sight) from my nearest NBC station. I decided to ditch the Dish and go all streaming media (Hulu, Netflix, etc). The only thing I was missing was the networks. I spent $99 on this antenna and got more than I expected. I get 18 broadcast channels (17 digital and 1 analog). Channels: NBC (x2) CBS (x2) PBS ABC (x2) FOX Local Channels (x9) If you are ditching the dish this is a must have product.

At this price for an antenna is just what you would expect. I tried it indoors at first and got no reception. I'm in a ground floor apartment and placed it outside and it works fine getting decent reception for about a 20-30 mile radius, but traffic on my street causes interference. If I had better LoS, I'm sure I'd be even happier with the reception.

    clearstream model choices

We have 2 clearstream 2v and 1 c4 here in Tennessee where cable isn't available. These appear to be the best of those stocked by Wal-Mart or micro center. Never saw them at best buy. C4 is better for uhf channels including Knoxville "2" "6" and (apparently) "8" which no longer use the vhf assignments. C4 doesn't work for vhf 7 or 10, but gives consistently better picture on virtual uhf. 2v works well on 2nd floor for all Knoxville channels and by turning the other way for holston mtn channel "39" so you may need to research whether your favorite channels are real vhf or not. Anyway lack of cable is no big loss unless you watch msnbc CNN espn or can't get a decent 4g data plan. I tried the c4 also in Ohio where it worked on all Cincinnati and Dayton channels with much turning and scanning. Cincinnati "5" is one which has many more weekday than evening channels so you will need to scan and edit at appropriate times.

Great reception for it's size. I installed it on my roof, and now receive 18 channels. Very clear reception! The antenna was easy to assemble. Only need one Phillips screw driver. I mounted it on a pre-existing mast instead of using the j pole that came with it. Installation was no problem. Over all I am happy with my purchase

I recently decided to purchase this antenna as my contract was up with the cable company and my price was about to increase. I opted for internet only and then decided to try this antenna. Despite looking complicated to set-up, it actually was quite easy (for indoor use) and took only about 15-20 minutes. I currently get 28 channels, with the reception coming in a little better in the evening. There are also channels on there that I have never seen before that come in great. I recommend this to anyone looking to save a little money.

    Great antenna for Cord Cutters

We needed and antenna so that we could get local channels for news after cutting the cord. This antenna exceeded out expectations. We live in an area where we shouldn't get any channels according the channel finder apps, but we get 10 channels that include all the major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, CW, PBS) and a few independent locals! We are more than pleased! We used our old satellite pole to mount the antenna.
