I bought this after trying an indoor powered antenna and this one blows it away. If you look up tv fool online it can give you the direction the stations are in to point the antenna. Mine is mounted outside.

    Still the best antenna

This is my 3rd antenna from Antennas Direct. It is slightly different then the picture and the other two antennas I purchased. Clearly it has been cost reduced. The reflector is 2 inches smaller in height. The dipole (for VHF) is 6 inches shorter in length. Still, even after these cost reductions it has significantly better reception the the Mohu leaf antenna and the RCA flat antenna. I added an inexpensive RCA 15db amplifier to insure I get good reception in rain and snow conditions. I only gave it 4 stars because of the two obvious cost reductions.

I had an indoor antenna was getting 15 channels, with this antenna I am getting over 60 channels unbelievable. Easy assembly all you need is a philips screwdriver bye, bye cable.

Great Antenna for stations 40 to 50 miles away

This is the first antenna I have purchased that was able to get all the major broadcast networks in my area. I am in rural southern Charlotte and was able to pick up a station in Belmont that takes me an hour to get to by car. I love the compact design. It is about a foot tall, requires no electrical power and picks up like a 6 footer on the roof.

Recently cut the cord on my cable service and chose the OTA route. This antenna performs very well even if you are unable to install it outdoors like me. TV reception is great, very clear on all channels I frequently watch.

After buying three other antennas that didn't give me CBS or ABC, I finally picked this one up. I was apprehensive because of how large it is, but I am glad I made the purchase! The HD stations are crystal clear and you will see that the HD quality is much better than what cable gives you. Also, for those of you in the DC area, it is a known issue that CBS and ABC are difficult to get through antenna. Also, they both broadcast over VHF not UHF. Even though the cheaper antennas said they could get signals for both UHF and VHF, they didn't. However, get this antenna and you won't have an issue and hopefully I saved you the multiple trips to Best Buy! :)

I was using a smaller RCA antenna which we had to keep switching from outdoors to indoors to try to get CBS, FOX and NBC and got fed up with it so I gave this antenna a try and I could not be happier with my purchase! All 30+ channels come in on HDTV quality. I no longer need to move the antenna from spot to spot to get the channel I want. This one is definitely a keeper. Hubby set it up in about 10 mins. You will like this antenna!

I've been using this antennae for 4-6 months now. Better reception than more complicated and more expensive units. I was ready to spend a lot more, but a salesman at BestBuy said to give this one a try. I'm picking up more channels than I expected. I'm down in a river valley with a lot of trees too. I don't want to claim that this thing can perform miracles, but it's working really good for me. I do have a tall mast, but the other antennae were on the same mast and they didn't work this well. As a matter of fact one had a booster and it didn't work this well.

There were some assembly issues with this in that the plastic base and metal grid did not "lock" into place as easily as it should have but other than that no real issues. I first placed the antenna behind my TV and ran a channel search which only gave 3 channels. That wasn't going to work so I moved it to the floor about 5 feet away from the TV, ran a rescan and got 25 channels which is about what I expected. I intend to mount this outside on my SAT dish pole once I turn that stuff in and expect better reception there. I'd say the antenna has worked as well as expected and mounting location is critical for picking up good signals. This antenna is a middle of the road price wise and expect it to last and perform well. Happy with is so far.

I get 86 channels, crystal clear!

I bought this to replace my indoor digital antenna. I previously got 46 channels but had to move it around a lot, and could never get WFAA, which aired the Super Bowl and NBA Finals. After buying the Clearstream 2V and mounting it in my attic, I now get 86 channels (including WFAA), all are crystal clear, and I don't have to move it around at all. I called their customer service for technical questions and they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I went through three indoor antennas including an expensive amplified version, but none pulled in more than the one strongest station on my new 55" Vizio. This is even though all the stations are less than 25 miles from my residence in Cape Coral. I installed this antenna in the attic, tuned it for the best signal, and had 19 digital channels on the first scan. It took a little more work and a couple trips through the hot attic, but it resolved my problem. Oddly, my 10 year old Samsung 23" LCD set pulled in all the channels just fine with rabbit ears. I think the tuners on new TVs aren't as robust as the older ones were.

    Works Great for Me

I installed this antenna outside at the peak of my roof ~25ft above the ground. I recently purchased another indoor only antenna (Model: CSM1-XGSKU: 2630891) that I wasn't thrilled with and now plan to return. When I scanned, it had found 22 channels. A couple of the weaker channels would freeze or skip. I purchased this one to see if I could do any better. It found 31 channels and the weak ones that would freeze with the old antenna do not with this one. I'm very happy with the results.

This picks up all of the channels that I wanted. The towers are on average 50 miles away, and the antenna is roof mounted. Wonderful product. At $80 it was perfect.

Installed it in the garage last weekend to replace (or to get rid of) DirecTV service. Initially, after channel search completed, only 10 channels showed up. But within 24 hrs or so, another channel search yielded 29 HD/SD channels. So, give it a little while and run the "channel search" a few times. I will keep it in the garage for now, but move it outside during the spring/summer for better signal. I got 2 TVs and a projector hooked up to this little antenna through my home cable network.

I live 50 miles away from a large city and I am unable to draw in the TV stations from there. I would recommend the stronger antenna if you live a fair distance away from cities.

I had bought an indoor antenna from Best Buy but then decided to return it for this larger one that had so many good reviews. I researched how far my house (Kissimmee) is from the broadcasting towers which were around the 40 mile range. This antenna picked it all up. The problematic channels in my area are NBC (2.1) and CBS (6.1) as expected as they are are low and on the VHF side. I plan to get the Winegard amplifier 200 to fix that right up. :)

    Good but good enough?

I need a long-range antenna. First I tried indoors placement. Not a single VHF channel. Then then I tried outdoors at about 8 ft.up. Fairly good. Next I'm trying it on a 10 or 15 feet mast as that's cheaper than going with their $150 model. Over-the-air reception, programming and channel identification is tough compared to easy-street cable. Many variables are involved, such as unknown distance to towers.

Somewhat easy to assemble, great for the attic. Mounting was a breeze. Pictures come in crystal clear. Haven't used any other digital antenna to compare it to, but I happy with tis one.
