That's the hardest one for my location to pick up. It's the same reception as the $19 antenna. I can try to hook either one of them up outside, so I'll try the cheap one first, of course. I'm not happy with all the work involved with getting regular TV. I don't think the store clerks are very helpful either.

Not as great as advertised

Before I bought it, I read great reviews and wonder if people got paid to write them. I supposedly would have gotten 80 channels but instead get 17. All the manufacturer did was sent me a odd with antenna pointing tips. Best buy has a different type of return policy of no more than 15 days from time of purchase. Other stores give you up to a few months.

From the South Shore or Long Island, 37 miles from the antenna (Empire State building), I could only get the UHF signals and NOT the 3 high VHF all from that antenna. Effectively it matched my dyi attempt. I'll probably put a yagi on the the chimney. BestBuy fully refunded with no hassle.

Posted .An outdoor installation would likely have increased the performance and given success with those VHF channels. Roofing material and the angle of the material itself will decrease the amount of broadcast signal getting to the antenna. Thanks.
Worse than my Indoor version

I was missing NBC and ABC with this indoor version so I thought I would get the next step up to get more reception. Indoor and outdoor near the roof did not fair better and in some cases, it was worse for me. So I had to return it.

However, I also tried another antenna (Terk HDTVa Antenna Pro), which is an indoor amplified antenna that sells for about $39.99, and I get better results with the Terk than with this antenna for less than half the price. I would rate the Terk antenna a 4.5 star.

I was going to get the cheep indoor antenna, but the employee talked my husband into this piece of cr@p. Telling my husband we'd get better indoor reception with this as well as more channels. We get cw, abc, and fox. If we are lucky and the stars are aligned just right and we do the right dance of our people we can get nbc. If I had the receipt it would have gone back.
