After a proper and thorough installation I gained a total of 3 channels bringing my total to 6. The first 3 came from a very small powered antenna that was at least 10 years old. This antenna barely beats old technology. I’ll be returning this piece of garbage promptly.

We have years of experience judging satellite overviews to estimate the signal blockage caused by obstructions such as trees, foliage, buildings etc... these obstructions will block signals and cause interference with other signals. Then we use information that you provide for your installation to finalize our recommendations on why you are not receiving more channels. You may simply need a booster to complete your setup. The rusted $25 antenna it was supposed to replace received 40 channels. It claimed to have a range of 150 miles. The actual range is about 20 miles. Unless you live next door to the transmitter tower save your money!

Does not have anywhere near the advertised range

I bought it because a tree had taken out about half of the rods on my old conventional antenna, but this one did not work at all, so I went back to my old unit, which still gets most of the channels it got before the tree fell. I returned this one to the store.

Posted .When you connected the 4MAX antenna, you must scan your TVs for channels - even when change out antennas you always need to scan for channels. Posted .Sorry for the inconvenience. After you installed the antenna, we hope you rescanned your TV for channels using your remote! If you had another antenna installed, your TV tuner will lock in on some strong signals, so it is absolutely necessary to scan the TV for channels.
