Bought this and now receive all local networks with strong signal! We are fifty miles from the transmitters over hilly terrain.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.An "outdoor" antennae should have leads for flatwire or at least a preamp if the lead is coax to ensure the signal remains intact over the long run to get it "indoors" where all the splitters/TVs are. This unit has neither, along w/ a ridiculous $150 price tag. Unit performed equivalent to an active Terk I could easily set behind my wall-mounted flatpanel to pull in signals from 30-40 miles away so I returned this unit.

Husband hooked it up to our existing cable lines running into the house (that was amazing in and of itself due to how many cable wires we have). The non-Smart tv gets 80 channels. One Smart tv gets 88 channels and the newest Smart tv gets 100 channels.

Or it’s possible there may not be signal present in the location where you placed the antenna. We always recommend placing the antenna in a couple different locations and rescan for the TV for channels. We also suggest you place the antenna as high up as possible to achieve the best signal reception. Living in a rural small community we need an antenna with distance capabilities. Closest signal is over 40 miles away. Read the reviews and was hopeful. It was very easy to assemble. However, this one pull less channels than the 60 mile GE we have. Old antenna is going back up and returning this one. For the price, just didn't perform well enough to justify keeping it.

Try a cheaper alternate first. We did put this in our attic and it does work really well. But, a cheap alternative may work just as well.
