Best Buy guys never told me this would be an issue. Even so, if you can point it to South Mountain through an opening in your ceramic roof (like a vent opening or through the side edges of your ceramic roof that open to the air), then you can get a decent signal.

This review is based on connecting the antenna to my television indoors, and moving it around to find the strongest indoor signal. My ClearStream 4MAX at best only receives the same number of channels as my $30 unit. The channels received by my 4MAX are generally not as strong as they are on my $30 antenna. I connected my 4MAX to use my $30 unit's pre-amp and all the channels then came in clear and strong. I may upgrade my rating once I have installed the 4MAX outdoors. I do suspect that the 4MAX will require a pre-amp to be acceptable to me.
