This was replacement antenna for installation in my attic. The original antenna had a shorter range and would lose signal on rainy or windy days. Since installing the Clear Stream antenna we have been able to watch our favorite show on even the worst weather days. The assembly and installation was pretty easy. I liked that the antenna came with its own mounts, so it was easy to attach to the attic rafters. This antenna feeds a splitter that serves 4 TV's.

I had tried 5 different antennas and a few hours of research before buying and staying with the Clearstream 4v. The biggest challenge was finding an antenna that pulled in the local FOX affiliate. The FOX signal is about 25 miles away from my home. When the Clearstream 4v did this without additional power boosting or mounting it externally, I knew I found a winner. It also added three additional channels that I did not get from the Terks or RCA Interior models.

I have a design build company and I am used to putting things together, but this one was a little challenging. it wasn't hard just challenging from my perspective because all the parts are unassembled like if it came from Ikea. Yet once assembled I installed it and it was great. I got more channels than what I thought. this thing has a great range. I only recommend aligning it properly to the direction that best locks your favorite channel or channels.

We cut our cable because it just got to expensive. So we went looking for a good antenna. The reviews on the Antennas Direct - ClearStream 4V Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna - Black/Silver were great. We bought it and it's the best antenna we have ever had. My son and daughter even bought them and I installed them as well. We get 47 channels with ours. My son gets 32 and my daughter gets 38. Awesome HDTV Antenna and i would recommend it to anyone

Decided to get rid of pricey Direct Tv, and go with free tv! Read reviews of this product on both Best Buy and Amazon websites -- it had really good reviews. So glad we bought it! Easily attached to my existing roof mounted Direct Tv mount. Used the website suggested in instructions to figure out which way to point the antenna. Did all of this while it was snowing, and it worked like a charm! Definitely recommend.

One of the better antennas on the market. Good quality but metal can bend so be careful when handling and during installation. Make sure to check what channels you'll get in your location, regardless of what antenna you get, location is key to getting more channels. Place it up high on the roof where no trees are in the way and you'll get enough channels to satisfy your needs unless your in an area with no broadcast antennas within 50 miles. Although more expensive than others, I recommend it, you get your money back in a month by cutting the cable.

Purchased this antenna to replace DISH service for local channels. We are 50+ miles from the stations in a wooded area. Tried attic install but did not receive all 3 main stations, so moved antenna to chimney. Received 16 channels with good reception for the main 3 stations. Easy to assemble/install if you don't mind climbing on your roof! Not too noticeable on the side of the chimney, but it's not large and unattractive, either. High winds create some reception issues, and we will have to see how reception is when the trees leaf out in the spring.

In birch bay get about 20+ channels crystal clear pointed north just a few degrees to the west NNW and only about 10' above ground very near sea level. All local channels from BC and around Bellingham come in great. Chs 6 and 8 come and go. Nothing from Seattle but not using an amp and am not pointed south. Might have to test that someday and buy a second one. Easy install.

Antenna was intended to be used on top of roof using the support that came as part of the antenna purchase. Outside it was not high enough to pick up channels I was hoping for so I connected it in the living room next to TV set. Setting on a rolling desk the antenna could get most of the channels I wanted from the area except for one low frequency channel (Channel 6). Other higher channels can be obtained up to 50 miles away.

I have this antenna installed in my attic with a dimensional shingle roof. The quality of the product is quite good for what it is. It seems to pick up most of the channels with a strong signal. I am receiving 61 channels. A small handful are in a different direction further away, but I can get them from time to time. I paid $80 for this antenna so I am pleased. I would not spend $150 for it. Just saying.

Although it needs some assembly, once it setup next to my TV set, all of sudden I get 20 more new channels (total 40) in my second floor bedroom. This 88 shaped antenna did twice as much job as its sibling single 8! I decide to keep the double-8. Then I put it up in attic wishing for more channels, no more new adding but I did get much stronger signals for each of them. Interesting part, I mounted it sideway rather than horizontal-way as the instructions said, it worked just as good. I have already recommend it to my friend.

I purchased a flat antenna for my apartment and got very few channels. This picks up quite a few more, and the ones that came in poorly come in better, but I also have a lot of channels with a lot of distortion, well within the 70 mile range. That being said, I rarely watch TV and this is sufficient to get the news, so worth the purchase. I've already saved more than the cost of this antenna in one month without cable TV.

Works well, but I don't believe it achieves the 70miles but I only purchased to watch the local news cause my cable company thinks Detroit is my local area (60 miles east) but in reality I live closer to Lansing (28 miles west) and prefer the Lansing news. Easy to set up don't think it will hold up if mounted outdoors due to a large amount of plastic in its construction so I mounted mine in the attic of my garage.

We cut the cable cord (eliminated high priced cable service) and installed this antenna in our attic. We are approximately 40 miles from the TV towers in Central Florida. Via the antenna we are receiving all 4 major networks, plus around 30 other channels. Picture is much better than that provided by the cable company's compressed signals. Have recommended this antenna to dozens of folks interested in cutting the cord.

I bought a cheaper antenna first and returned it because I couldn't pick up even one channel. We purchased this one and installed it in our attic. We get the exact channels the FCC website said we would be able to get - which unfortunately is only 6 because we apparently live in a dead zone and are 70+ miles away from a receiver. However, this antenna is strong enough to pull in those 6 channels and we are happy!

I mounted the antenna in my attic with low expectations of it working really great, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it did! Despite being pretty far from any transmission sites (40 miles minimum), the antenna pulled signals from over 30 stations, some HD and some normal TV broadcast. Rotating it allowed me to go from NJ/NY stations to PA stations. I am thinking of adding an active amplifier to this to see how much better it works, but its pretty sweet right out of the box. Just make sure you have signals available in your area.

We divorced our cable TV and went with FREE TV! Love not paying for cable TV every month. We live outside of any big city and this antenna brings in the signals. It is a little tricky to aim it properly - having two people, one to watch the TV and the other to adjust the antenna, is almost required. We put this in our attic and it works just fine.

The broadcast tower is about 15 mules from my house. I get great reception on all UHF channels, even with the antenna indoors, and my yard is full of big trees. Getting channel here (FOX real channel 7, VHF) did require outside mounting. I do get that channel without issues with the antenna only 2 feet off the ground closely mounted on the side of my house. Roof mounting not required.

I live 40 miles from the closest towers and I tried the Mohu Leaf 50 and it did not work. I received one working channel with that, so I returned it and bought this antenna. I hooked it up where my Directv coax cable already existed and mounted the antenna to the Directv support. I left the amplifier which was also already in my guest room. I now have 20+ channels and all the major networks. I haven't had any issues.
