    Surprisingly good indoor antenna

I tried the RCA ANT1275F and couldn't get anything no matter how I positioned it. Bought this antenna and now get 12 channels from 4 stations (NBC, CBS, PBS, and Fox), which is about what I was expecting from an indoor antenna given my location and terrain. Comes with a nice length of cable, so I was able to experiment with different locations for best reception. Small, unobtrusive, and stuck to the wall out of sight behind the TV. Between this and online streaming, I'm not even missing cable.

    Better than nothing

Situation: mid-west urban environment but not BIG city. Old homes, close together. Most TV station towers are 15-25 miles away. The antenna was to be installed in a finished attic, 35 feet above ground. To be fair, I know my living environment is challenging from a TV reception standpoint. Among other things, my house is stucco with an embedded metal grid, which is certainly not helpful for reception. Goals: - Get reliable reception on all the nearby stations without having to fiddle with the antenna each time I change the channel, - Get reception for another station that is approximately 30 miles away. - Drive three televisions. I didn't really think this antenna would fulfill my needs, but with limited space for a larger antenna inside the house, it was a simple option to try first. Background: I started with a 30 year old pair of rabbit ears, connected to one TV in our finished attic. I can get all the nearby stations, but reception on some can be a little spotty in bad weather and I couldn't get them all without moving the rabbit ears around. Experience with this antenna: This antenna provided slightly better reception with the one TV than I experienced with the rabbit ears and one additional station without having to move the antenna around. it didn't outperform my rabbit ears enough to be worth $80. Since it didn't accomplish my station reception goals hooked up to just one TV, I never bothered to try splitting the signal to multiple TVs. If you have nothing, try one of the cheaper 'leaf' style options first. They will probably perform just as well as this without having to spend $80. I'll be returning this and moving on to a larger antenna with a separate distribution amplifier to drive the 3 TVs.

I've tried multiple amplified antennas from a variety of manufacturers, and this has pulled in more stations than any of the others. The reusable wall-cling feature doesn't hurt, either.

No Hassles, Under $60, and no more monthly bill - This little antenna ECLIPSES cable for free broadcast HD!

This is the best antenna I've tried so far. With my old antenna I could only get in ABC and FOX, but with this one I also get NBC and PBS with no trouble at all. In fact, the only local channel I don't get is CBS which is a different broadcast type and based in another city. I also really love that this antenna is sticky, because it made it easy to readjust to find the best reception without pounding a bunch of holes in my walls.

I was looking for an antenna that I could use in a guest room and would be easy to install. This works great, I can move it to any room I want and have even hooked it up to my laptop tuner for use on our deck. I checked the channel listng against a website and found that it picked up all of the channels in my area. I am thinking of getting a second one to keep in my laptop bag for TV on the go.

We had tried lots of different antennas...and by far...this one has worked the best for us (your results may vary) We live about 30 miles away from the tower where the majority of stations in our area broadcast from. 90% of the time we get a great and clear signal with no problems at all. Onlt very occasionally we get the signal dropping out...but it is very, very rare. Most stations show around the 70-100% range on the signal strength meter.

    Good Antenna

To get the best signal possible you need to install the amplifier and plug it in that comes with it which makes the wiring quite messy and you have to be creative to tie them all together. I'm less than 10 miles from NYC and the signal is pretty good. All and all a good product for a guest room. I get all the local channels now (Although 4 is spotty). You will also need to add/delete channels as it picks up Spanish, Religious, and Shopping channels you may not want. If the antenna lasts, it will be a good purchase.

    GOOD DOOR STOP

All these indoor antennas only work when you live VERY CLOSE to the transmitting towers.I live 16 miles away and this one only works when is placed in a window facing the towers.RECEPTION INDOORS IS VERY POOR.Digital television is a big improvement but honestly the fact the signal disappears completely if is not STRONG enough is very annoying. The main reason people still pay for cable or satellite is because they can't get good reception where they live.An outdoor antenna is NOT an option for those who live in buildings.I have tried many types of indoor antennas and the problem is the same.

So sorry that you weren't able to get good reception. Unfortunately, there are a small number of customers that are in signal challenged locations due to either terrain or buildings when using indoor antennas. I would suggest trying an outdoor antenna. Getting an elevated vantage point the antenna will be higher than most obstructions and performance will be greatly improved. Thanks! Antennasdirect

This amplified antenna pulls in more stations than another one we own. My only negative is that the "bidirectional" feature doesn't work. I need to move the antenna's direction for different stations. The self sticking feature works well.

Most broadcasting stations in my area are about 30 miles away. I was just using a cheap $10 antenna but I figured upgrading to something a little more expensive would help me pick up a few more channels. Not only did this thing not add to the stations I received, it actually picked up FEWER than the cheap thing I was using before. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this. I wouldn't have kept it even if it only cost 5 bucks, but at 80 there is no way you should be considering this.

I live within 15 miles of Tulsa, certainly within the advertised 50 miles, and could only get three channels. Those being the absolute worst programming in the market (PBS). I know there are no less than 45 channels here so I was extremely disappointed in this antenna. I tried two other receivers with similar results. And moved to different locations. Worthless piece of equipment.

David the broadcast towers are close to Coweta on Hwy 351. Orient the antenna so that it has the least obstructed view towards the broadcast towers and rescan your channels. If you need anymore assistance please call our tech support line @ 877-825-5572. Antennasdirect
