It comes in pieces and you have to assemble it. It was not what I was looking for in an antenna for this price point. Also it did not even include a coaxial cable to connect it to your television. Not worth the time or trouble.

Also, we do not include coaxial cable in the box for a reason. Every installation is not the same, so providing a standard cable length wouldn't help everyone and we do not want people to pay for something they might not use. We clearly state on our packaging that coaxial cable is not included. We apologize for this inconvenience.

It was placed in the attic and I thought it would work better than the "flat" antenna inside of the house because of the height. It doesn't seem to be any better. I would have returned it but I threw the box away before I realized the disappointment.

Bad Signal

We are in a pretty populated area and the towers not very far. Unfortunately had to return this.

Posted .Hi David, we are sad to hear you didn't have a great experience with our ClearStream MAX-XR antenna. The MAX-XR should have brought in more channels than an indoor antenna, especially if you installed it outdoors or in an attic. Did you rescan your TV for channels after connecting the new antenna? This is a very important step when changing antennas because the TV signals are locked in on the channels from your previous antenna and why your experience was the similar. Please, connect the new antenna again, placing the antenna in the line of sight to the broadcast towers and rescan your TV for channels. Never opened the box because a less expensive item worked well. Really unhappy at the limited return policy of your company. As soon as I use the store credit that was issued when I returned this item I will cease shopping at Best Buy for anything.

If you placed the antenna on the floor, for instance, the signals may not have been presented or low to the floor. For indoor purposes, even an indoor/outdoor antenna needs to be up high. Towers are 1500 feet up in the air. Most of those signals are not pointing down, so we ALWAYS recommend placing the antenna up as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception. We recommend chatting with our tech support team at 877-825-5572, and they will perform a free home signal analysis to help determine what the issue could be.
