Hi David, we are sad to hear you didn't have a great experience with our ClearStream MAX-XR antenna. The MAX-XR should have brought in more channels than an indoor antenna, especially if you installed it outdoors or in an attic. Did you rescan your TV for channels after connecting the new antenna? This is a very important step when changing antennas because the TV signals are locked in on the channels from your previous antenna and why your experience was the similar. Please, connect the new antenna again, placing the antenna in the line of sight to the broadcast towers and rescan your TV for channels. Hi ScottS! We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Placing an antenna in the right location is the key to achieving the best signals. If you placed the antenna on the floor, for instance, the signals may not have been presented or low to the floor. For indoor purposes, even an indoor/outdoor antenna needs to be up high. Towers are 1500 feet up in the air. Most of those signals are not pointing down, so we ALWAYS recommend placing the antenna up as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception. We recommend chatting with our tech support team at 877-825-5572, and they will perform a free home signal analysis to help determine what the issue could be. We recommend running a channel scan on your TV or tuner to ensure all available stations in your area are detected, as this step is crucial for optimal performance. Move the antenna away from the TV and run another channel scan. Additionally, the number of channels received depends on your location and the broadcast signals available, which can vary widely. We do have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. Hi Dave, please call our support team for help with the ClearStream MAX-XR. You should be able to receive signals if you are in range, so there might be a hill or another obstruction between your home and the tower.
