Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the ClearStream Micron Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a good number of channels and its relatively compact size. However, some customers found the signal strength inconsistent and a few felt the price was a bit high for the performance. The length of the included cable was also a point of concern for some users.

For me, a great alternative to paid TV service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very skeptical about the idea of cancelling my DirecTV service and just using a digital antenna. I wasn't unhappy with DirecTV, but I found that all the programs I like to watch are on the major network channels and it didn't make sense to pay for what I could get for free. I was afraid that it would be like "the old days" with fuzzy quality pictures and needing to constantly fiddle with an antenna for reception. Clearly, things have changed since then! I'm so pleased with the picture quality and was surprised to learn that digital antenna picture quality is superior to satellite and cable. I receive more channels than I expected and I've been very happy that for the cost of 2 months of DirecTV service I was able to buy a piece of hardware that is going to save me $360 a year in monthly expenses. This was a very worthwhile purchase for my family. (**The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I wish the cable were just a couple feet longer so I could put the antenna on my windowsill instead of on top of a bookshelf next to the TV.)

Whooppeee! Free TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this paid for itself in the first month of dropping cable tv. The HD is crystal clear for the free broadcast stations (and I didn't have to pay extra f/the HD). Granted, the number of stations is limited by what is broadcast within the receivers range. Ie., I get about 30 stations (2 don't come in, the analog's are fuzzy but reproduced elsewhere in HD, 1/3 stations in spanish, 1/3 God stations and the rest are local, THIS movies, WeTv old tv, NOVA and Cool tv music). Hey...I'm satisfied and not as broke $. Hint: follow the instructions to get the location of your nearby antennaes and aim that way.

Spotty reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this antenna based on some of the reviews I read online and the price I was willing to pay for a HD antenna. Installation was as simple as screwing the video cable in back of the TV. My TV has an auto signal search like most do these days and I was excited to see I had 16 channels I would be able to watch for free!!! Watching them proved to be the big letdown. At first great HD channels Movie like picture and then… pixilation, screen freeze, and poor sound tracking. This thing lost more channels than the Nationals last season without Stephen Strasburg! I tried repositioning the antenna for better reception but the thing will not hold a signal. I took it back to BestBuy and they returned it with no problems.

Great Antenna, would recommend it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this antenna for about a year now and it has been great. I live in an apartment complex, so I have limited options. I have it mounted on a wall near a window and we get all of the local channels clearly. It has a good price point and works right out of the box, easy set up.

One of The Greatest Indoor Antennas
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised with this antenna, for I received like 40 channels, which are mostly in high definition. The ease of assembly was superb, just a simple rescan and presto. Some channels look better than cable.I had quite an experience, but it all depends on where you live, and how far the tv stations are from where you live.Hope this can help. This is a best buy.

best purchase EVER!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.before this my tv had been hooked up to my apt's outlet and i have been getting free basic tv. then on october 1st, comcast decided to force everyone to have a special box to watch even the most basic channels. but the thing is that i hate comcast- i absolutely hate their guts and didn't want to give them any of my hard-earned money. i mean $30 a month for limited basic tv is outrageous. so for 7 weeks, i was cable-less. i would watch my favorite tv shows online the next day and it was fine... but i missed watching shows on my pretty hdtv 52 inch flat screen tv. i miss having background noise when i am cooking or doing work. luckily, my dad hateS comcast too and he had been researching ways to give the middle finger to comcast. one day he surprised me with this antenna as a present. and you know what? it's one of the best presents ever! i live in san francisco and got 51 channels through this antenna. the reception is great and the images are crystal clear. the setup is incredible easy too- just hook up the antenna to your tv, set your tv to air/antenna and scan. TAKE THAT COMCAST! *happy dance

Great reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a 6-story apartment building with courtyards and walls. It is located in a more urban than suburban area, but not quite a dense urban location. My previous amplified antenna from Target did not do well. I had channels cutting in and out when I walk around in my living room and only a few channels to choose from. After connecting this antenna I had 38 channels that came in very clearly and without interruption when I walked around in the room. The only negative is that the little legs that it comes with keep falling off when I picked it up to adjust it. I had to tape them and now they don't come off. Easy fix, but still kinda lame. Looks like they redesigned the unit to have permanent legs from pics online. Mine might have been an old style and thus varies slightly aesthetically.

The antenna works as described
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this antenna for a conference room. I knew it was far from the towers and our office is on the first floor surrounded by metal and concrete. It really works well. I get all of the channels in my area. I am 26 miles from the TV transmission towers. Glad the antenna works, didn't want to figure out how to run cable in my office building.

AWESOME RECEPTION!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to save on Directv costs, bought this for my 32" Toshiba Regza, for which I just had a standard receiver. It took me 2-3 times to get the antenna pointed in the right direction, but when I did, WOW! Really clear, crsip, beautiful color! I can't say I shopped around a lot, but this is the middle priced of these antennas, and I thought I would try and upgrade if this didn't do the job. The price seems compatible with others I did check out. Compact size, wish it had a little different mounting stand. But am VERY happy with my purchase

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this antenna so I can get rid of my expensive cable. I thought the antenna was a little spendy but it's still less than a month's cable service. Setup was easy; I had to experiment a bit with the best positioning, but now I am pulling in all my local channels. Here on the Great Plains the transmitters are considerably farther away than they are in more populated areas; my NBC transmitter is 45 miles out. I'm watching NBC right now, on a windy day (which often causes problems with reception), and there is no blockiness or breaking up of the picture. So far I am very satisfied with my purchase. BTW, on my box it says this model has a peak gain of 4.5 dBi.

Works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for the tv in my room, which doesn't have a cable set up. Pretty easy and simple set up. Took a bit to find just the right position for the best reception, but I got there. Now I get free tv! The picture comes in clear for the most part but days with bad weather can make the signal spotty. Overall, great purchase and worth the investment.

Good antenna, High Rise dwellers beware.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this antenna (though the one I got has a separate and optional amplifier). I live in a high rise in downtown Houston. I couldn't get my local ABC, CBS, & PBS affiliates when I placed it next to my tv. Simply adjusting the position isn't really that easy since you have to run a new scan (4 mins) each time you move it. My tv doesn't allow you to manually input known channels. I used a coax cable extender and an additional coax cable to run the antenna out to my balcony (17th floor), ran the scan and received EVERY channel available. Awesome picture, no pixilation so far, and no loss of signal when moving around my apartment...Only problem is, I have to leave the antenna sitting over my sliding glass window with an ugly coax cable running across the floor. I haven't yet cancelled my UVerse as I'm just not sure I want to be stuck with this look. Antenna works great and I'm not using the amplifier, just the antenna.
