Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the ClearStream Micron Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a good number of channels and its relatively compact size. However, some customers found the signal strength inconsistent and a few felt the price was a bit high for the performance. The length of the included cable was also a point of concern for some users.

Worth every penny! Easy to assemble, reception is unbelievable. I am so impressed with this antenna! I have every local station and I was just hoping to get one and they're all clear as a bell. Ba-bye cable!! My advice to you is put the box as close to a door or window as you can.

    Works in its 25 miles

It works just as it says in its 25 miles. When I was at my home near Nashville I could get the stations perfectly. When I went back to school in Auburn, I could get stations from Montgomery, which is further than 25 miles away, but they would go out sometimes. As I said, it works as described, but if you need more than 25 miles, get the next step up (what I ended up doing).

I am pleased with this product. I decided to discontinue cable and purchased this for basic channel reception. I am pleased with the performance of this product. I live around a lot of trees and was worried that I would not get very good reception. I get all the local channels and they come in clear. Of course reception is lost occasionally due to weather but never lasts for more than a few seconds. I was especially happy with the customer service I received from Antennas Direct when calling them for information regarding the Antenna.

No difficulty receiving UHF channels but VHF channels come through sporadically. This time it has been over two weeks since I received VHF channels. Frustrating.

I wanted to get some HD channels on my tv without paying monthly for HD channels. I paid $50 for this product because it had already been opened but I think it was regularly $80. I know the cheapest antenna there is around $15. I'm not really sure what all this one has that the cheapest one doesn't..? My boyfriend has a cheapo one from Walmart and he gets just as many HD channels in great quality as I do. Maybe there are some other great aspects that I am not aware of. I definitely would not pay the full $80 for this. I'd first try a cheaper one then you could always return it and purchase this one if needed.

    Pretty Good Reception

I don't normally post reviews but felt I needed to for this product. I bought this antenna on a recommendation from a store tech. I got it home, plugged it in to the back of the TV and after going to antennapoint.com to get the proper orientation I mounted it to the wall. I am now receiving 30 channels to which I would say that is pretty good reception. It Works!!

    Best Flat Style I've Tried

I've been experimenting with different antennas since ditching cable. I tried the rabbit ears with a loop, and two different flat-style amplified antennas like this one. Of the three, this one was by far the best. I would have kept it but could get no reception at all from Fox and NBC. Everything else came in very well.

It works, don’t expect miracles it picks up local on air channels, you may have to move around to get the best reception but once you find the sweet spot don’t move it.

I got this antenna to replace the one I originally bought the 'amplified' antenna is the option if you live in the mountains I had to do a house mod of enhancing the amplification ratio by adding an iron piece with some copper wire all by itself it gave me 2 channels, with my house mod I got 5 ;)

This antenna gets decent reception, I am still not impressed with antenna reception in general, but this one reliably gets the same channels everyday. Which is an improvement over my last one.

We live right at the 30mi mark from our local broadcasters. Picks up most of the channels though my in store sales person warned me most folks around here are lucky to pull one or two even with a more powerful unit. Very pleased with performance, thinking we just need to move to a better area! Haha

Works great in our high rise...

We live in a Houston galleria-area high rise and purchased this antenna as a replacement for cable. The connected coax cable plugs right into your tv and less than two minutes from opening the box we had 67 channels (14 of which are both English-speaking and HD). I am very impressed with the picture, which is completely clear and legitimate HD quality. We have a 46" Samsung 8500 series and the channels look identical to the picture we had from cable. I had no idea an antenna this cheap and easy to set up could give me exactly the same picture I got from HD cable. Our antenna is set up in an exterior room and is more than 20 floors up. I did not have to place the antenna by a window or tilt/adjust it in anyway. I literally just plugged it in out of the box and got clear HD while the antenna was sitting on the floor. I don't know if this product works differently at ground level or further away from the loop, but for us it has been awesome.

    Amazing picture quality.....

Bought this straight off the shelf with no research and have been very pleased. Had my entertainment system hooked up Monday night and watched Monday night football in high def on my new 60" plasma. Picture quality was amazing. The unit's low profile allowed us to do the flush wall mount behind the TV helping us to save space in our media center and hide it behind the TV completely out of sight. Really surprised at some of the negative reviews, works better than expected for us!

I had bad local reception with the antenna that came with the TV I just bought. With the new digital air waves I kept getting digital breakups and that annoying buz. The price is high for an antenna but if it worked I thought it might be worth it. I get better reception but not great. I still have to turn it to get the signal depending on the channel. I like the sleek design but would I but it again....

Actually really surprised at the picture quality - I don't get NBC and ABC in my area which is a HUGE bummer, but we do get CBS and FOX - so almost all of the Broncos games make it to my TV in northern Colorado... hurray!

It is very easy to hook up to a TV an get your local channel a but what I could not get to work is to hook up to a VCR and record a channel and for the price of this thing way over the top it was for my mom she had me return it.

We were very happy to find that the clear reception for many local TV channels were available with this antenna once we did connect it to a HD TV. Will be a great option in a guest bedroom to offer local news and other TV channels to visitors without the use of another little used cable TV box.

What I like about this device is how easy it was to set up. All you have to do is snap it onto the stand (a wall mount is included), set your tv to scan, and you are set and ready to enjoy. There is a website you can go to in order to see where you should position your antenna but being in a large urban city, the proximity to these transmitters is pretty close. Best to keep it on the window in order to get the most channels and less interference. So far so good.
