Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the ClearStream Micron Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a good number of channels and its relatively compact size. However, some customers found the signal strength inconsistent and a few felt the price was a bit high for the performance. The length of the included cable was also a point of concern for some users.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter. She was moving and was not going to have cable available. The quality of the picture is amazingly crisp and clear.

I live in a townhome and have this one in my basement, the picture is fantastic and no more static from one channel to the next. After 3 cheaper antenas this one is sure worth the cost.

I'm in downtown Atlanta and a few building may obstruct signals, but those channels that i do receive are crystal clear on my HDTV Plasma.

This is a nice attenna with a plow profile. It is by far the best indoor noon amplified digital antenna purchased. It is performance for exceeded the amplified signal antennas I have had to return for poor performance.

30 miles? Box says 25 and it doesn't work at 21!

According to antennaweb.com I'm 21 miles from most of the local towers, on a flat plain with no tall buildings in sight. There is one house on the line between me and the towers, then about seven miles of golf courses and empty parkland. This supposed 25-mile (or is it 30-mile?) range antenna wouldn't pick up several of the local stations, and the ones it did receive were marginal a lot of the time. I got better reception using an ugly 14-dollar set of rabbit ears. Maybe if you're closer or live on the top floor of a highrise, but it doesn't cut it for me.

I bought this antenna to run my whole house off of and it fades in and out on a few channels but overall it is a good buy.

    Disappointing

I purchased this because my Radio Shack antenna needed to be adjusted for various channels which isn't practical if I'm recording off the air broadcasts with my Tivo box. This antenna is supposed to be omnidirectional but I find that the reception is spotty--sometimes a channel will come in fine and other times there will be static. For some channels the antenna also needs to be moved, although not quite to the same as the Radio Shack antenna. On the other hand, with the RS antenna when it was adjusted to receive a channel it kept receiving it. With this antenna the picture can look great and then all of a sudden there's a ton of static on the channel. I'm probably going to return this for a refund and try a different brand.

My 5-year-old RCA rabbit ears works better than this. I only live 20 miles from network stations, I would have expected better signal strength. Saw a lot of video breakup, espectially on channel 11. Returned it, and picked up a Terk omnidirectional antenna. I have been amazed by the signal strength and havent noticed any problems.

    A severely overpriced, under preformer

I tried the $10.00 old school rabbit ears first then switched to this antenna after only being able to get 2 channels with the ears. This antenna pulled in a few more channels but the signals were NEVER stable. To be fair, I do live on far side of a hill so I'm not completely surprised by its performance. I also live downtown and have ample coverage of all broadcast stations, If i were to price it according to its performance, this guy shouldn't be worth more than 35.00t!! The elaborate packaging (which is beyond impressive) and mounting hardware are overkill in my opinion.

I live in Kanawha County WV , antenna did not pick up anymore channels than my 15 year old rabbit ear style antenna. I used points to partly pay for item so I payed $16.67 with my Best Buy card but they only credited $14.14. Best Buy later gave me a reward of $15 they said since they only give rewards in $5 increments the other points would show up later. So as it stands I lost $1.67 on the deal. Not much you say well it was my $1.67 and 4 months ago it would have bought a gallon of gas lol

You may be getting all the channels available using an indoor antenna. If an outdoor installation is an option you may want to consider our Clearstream 2-V. With less building obstructions and higher elevation antenna performance will be better. Thanks for trying Antennas Direct. Antennasdirect

    Poor Quality Product

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was very surprised how cheap the materials were for this $60 antenna. It is a VERY light, cheap plastic casing. It also was not able to capture 2 of the major network channels in my area even though the antenna was situated right by the window. The TV reception was VERY sensitive to any remote movement in the room so you'd see the pixelization or lose total reception (we have wood floors) if there was any vibration made to the antenna. I believe part of the problem with that is that the product is made of cheap plastic and is very light, so it's susceptible to movement moreso than something heavier like traditional rabbit ears or heavier types of antennas. Going back to Best Buy today to return...

If you do not watch VHF channels 12 and 9, it's okay. Unfortunately, I do and was not informed at store (I did ask about local reception).
