Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the ClearStream Micron Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a good number of channels and its relatively compact size. However, some customers found the signal strength inconsistent and a few felt the price was a bit high for the performance. The length of the included cable was also a point of concern for some users.

Sound doesn't match visual display. Tried it on another TV and another location and it did the same thing.

    Help!

I have gotten a couple of indoor antennas from walmart and now I've purchased this one. I live in The Colony, TX and live on the first floor at my apartment. I seem to get most of the Dallas channels except for channel 8 "WFAA"(ABC). This is the channel I want the most and I cannot get it no matter which antenna I've gotten! Does anyone in the Dallas area have any tips?

Crystal clear HD on the channels it received. It only picks up channels from one frequency and not the other.

If you move this antennae a quarter of an inch you go from 4 to 17 channels. If you walk by it you lose signal. Not what I hoped for.

Try to give the antenna the clearest most unobstructed view to the towers. If you can get it close to a window facing the towers it will help reception. Thanks! Antennasdirect

I'm in suburban SE Denver about 30 miles from the towers. I'm in a poor reception area and bought this antenna based upon the positive reviews. For me the performance was worse than either of my other indoor antennas. No picture at all on one set and only a couple of stations on my other set. I'll take it back and try something else.

It works even from my basement. It took a bit of moving around, but I am even able to split it across two TVs in my house through the basement hookup. No complaints.

I bought this on the advise of the saleperson, mistake number one. The clothes hanger antenna that I made did a much better job. So far the clothes hanger antenna work much better than any other antenna out ther for the money.

Great alternative to not paying for cable. Might not have all the channels, but get the basics. Plus some great extras. Ion, qubo....

    Bad Antennae for the $$

First off the online specs say up to 30 mile range, but the product states 25 mile range. I have 13 dollar bunny ears from Radio Shack that get better reception than this antennae. I'm just around 25-30 miles outside of Chicago. Bunny ears 42 channels, this antennae 25 channels.

    Better Options

This will be brief. There are better options out there. Clearly, but judging by the rating I gave reception, that is the issue with this, which obviously affects the Value for Price rating. Even with moving this around, I was unable to pick up a signal from CBS and Fox...

Had high hopes for the antenna. Able to get very few channels every after several attempts to rescan and also move the antenna around. Will definitely be returning this one.

Plugged it in and nothing. Took the product back within the 30 days to get my money back. Did not find 1 single channel. The only way to get HD is with a roof antenna. Don't waste your money.

    Not for interior rooms

purchased this to go along with the hauppage usb tv tuner. Expected it to work well inside an office building so I could pick up more channels while I'm at work. Didn't pick up any more channels than the original antenna that came with the product, so I returned it for a full refund. Actually found that amplified devices work better as they seem to pick up more channels when not in an interior room. I don't recommend this product to anyone who will use it trying to pick up channels in an interior room.

Check the TV model number at the manufacturers website for specifications. If the TV's have analog NTSC tuners they will need converter boxes with ATSC tuners, ask an associate at Best Buy as they do carry the converter boxes. If your TV's have ATSC tuners, please try to get the clearest most unobstructed view in the direction of the broadcast towers then run the channel scan. You can look up the right direction here, www.antennapoint.com. Thanks! Antennasdirect

After canceling our cable we decided to try an antenna. First one we bought was an amplified antenna that worked well upstairs and middle of the road downstairs. We picked up this antenna for the family room. This one was twice as much and the sales guy recommended it saying we would get better reception and probably more channels. He was wrong! We only got one channel and after spending an hour on the phone with the tech line they said to call it got no better. Luckily Best Buy will let you return anything you buy!

Does not maintain signal at all

This product does not work. I have tried placing it in every direction possible and the connection never lasts. The picture freezes and I have to continuously shut off the digital converter box to get picture back, very maddening. Granted I do live in a first floor apartment in the city...so be warned if your living arrangement is similar do not expect this product to work. Maybe it is better in an open space but save your money or buy a more expensive antennae.
