Customers regard the ClearStream Micron XG Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna favorably for its excellent reception and picture quality, finding it easy to install and use. Many appreciate its ability to receive a large number of channels, including HD channels, and its extended range. I bought this antenna because my previous was not pulling all the channels and the channels I was getting was constantly breaking up as digital sometimes do. This antenna allowed me to pull in more channels than my previous one and the signal hardly breaks up. The picture is sharper, too! However, I still can get channel 7 KABC and channel 9 KCAL to come in

Most TVs these days will pickup enough local channels on their own, but to really boost the signal and have clarity across all stations, you really need an antenna like this one.

I have the unit ganged with a less expensive unit purchased first. Together I get cable-comparable reception when the stars align just so. Reception seems more dependent on things other than the unit - its good about 60% of the time and improves in late evening. I may consider an outdoor antennae at some point in the future. Whatever I end up with, it's good enough that I don't have to go back to cable or dish. That makes it worth the $$.

Bought this for a 2nd story apartment in Austin City limits. Works sometimes but is highly susceptible to interference. AM ALWAYS having to move it, turn it, raise it.... Signal still waivers, picture breaks up, and audio is lost.

So sorry you are having difficulties. Try to place the antenna where it has the clearest most unobstructed view towards the broadcast towers. The towers in Austin are in the NW Canyon View area. Also make sure the amplifier is on, you should see a blue light. If you need assistance locating the broadcast towers, we can help. 877-825-5572. Thanks! Antennasdirect

I think the price of the unit could have been more affordable. The installation was easy, of course. However, when it came to the assembly of the Mounting/Table unit it was difficult. The screws didn't work right (or something). As a result I could not place it on a wall for optimal performance therefore am not able to get my NBC channels. I find it pixilates more that I would like it to, especially considering the price that I paid for it.

You pay a one time price to get the local channel instead of the monthly fee for cable. However, you have to find the right spot for each channel. The quality of the picture is good when you find the right spot. I do not have it mounted on the wall yet though and I think that might help with the reception. I supplement the antenna with Netflix streaming and do not pay for cable.

My cable company wanted to charge $4/mo extra for my second outlet. With this, I receive crystal clear reception for 3/4 of my free preferred stations. This will pay itself in less than a year. The installation instructions for one of the steps could have been much better. I am in an center unit of a building complex and not even on the top floor and yet I can receive the station signals very clearly (with booster).

I used this antenna to go from two dish boxes down to one, and am happy enough with the results. My only complaint would be that weather can still cause some questionable reception, but I knew that going into it. When weather isn't an issue, the reception quality is great. I live roughly 30 miles from the broadcasting antennas.

This antenna works, but was very overpriced for what it does. There are amplified antennas on the market for less than half the price that will perform equally well or better.

I got this as an open box and because my outdoor HDTV antenna from the same company works great. Should have known since there were 2 other open boxes of this on the shelf. I got a Mohu and that works better.
