Very good performance, and the processor speed is adequate.

This has been the best monitor I've ever had. Everything looks amazing on it.

I purchased this in May and quickly found it has 2 dead pixels. One is truly dead and just black which is not too bad but the other is stuck on bright green which makes this monitor look really bad. Unfortunately when I tried to exchange I found that Best Buy has a 2 week exchange policy and I was at 15 days.... Not great customer service. I have owned many monitors in my life and this is the first time I have had bad pixels. Makes the monitor look like garbage. I looked at AOC's No Dead Pixel policy and it says something like it has to have more than 3 dead pixels before they would do anything. I an stuck with this monitor until 1 or 2 more pixels goes bad so AOC will do something.

BUYER BEWARE, THIS JANK MONITOR MADE ME WASTE AN ENTIRE NIGHT TROUBLESHOOTING ISSUES! I just built a new PC today and was getting really bizarre behavior. Random power loss in BIOS, in windows, when I'd start up a game. I'm over here thinking my GPU isn't seated properly or I need to swap out my PSU, swap out the RAM, maybe its the processor.... NOPE, IT WAS THIS JANK MONITOR. AVOID, THIS IS GARBAGE. THE FIRMWARE IS ABSOLUTE TRASH Even when the monitor does "work" as intended, the firmware is still plagued with bugs/quirks. Brightness is maxed out when using local dimming. Turning on DisplayHDR will cause all SDR content to be oversaturated when you turn it off, with the only solution being a factory reset. The full array local dimming also looks awful for web browsing or general productivity use. You are paying an extra $100 for a feature that you can't use at night due to max brightness, and during the day is less impactful due to ambient light, and only makes sense to turn on during media consumption. It is just awful. There is no fix for this. Avoid. If I could give this negative stars I would.

I've had this monitor for 6 MONTHS and it's NO LONGER WORKING. I've literally used it about 5 times. I have it on my second computer which barely ever gets used. Do not buy this. I'm going to seek out support and we'll see how it goes.

Monitor got a dead pixel within one week of using it.

When looking at the screen. The clarity would change when you moved one way or the other.

Locked brightness with local dimming enabled. Eye-piercingly bright. Horrible ghosting and bad response time compared to previous model. Want to return but just barely passed my return window.

There's 2 major flaws. Enabling local dimming on this forces maximum brightness. Medium dimming has way too much backlight it's brighter then the G3 on lowest local dimming so there's no point in anything less then full dimming on this one. If you want something for mixed productivity and media you're going to have to get used to manually turning dimming on and off. This isn't like the G3 where i set and forget on medium dimming....... The higher native contrast rating on this and increased color gamut does show on medium and bright content as it's able to illuminate now details by tepresenting different shades of lighter colors better but I find that my older G3 beats this newer G40 for darker scenes simply because the G3 gives those darker details more light to be seen without washing it out with too much backlight. I was hyped for this G40 to actually do better in the dark with the increased dimming zones by illuminating those details with a little more precision.

colors and brightness are very good especially compared to my last monitor, very quick and easy to setup on a vesa stand, so I cant comment on the included stand. Quick and easy to setup in settings, though the buttons are awkward and difficult to navigate.

Pros: Huge upgrade to my current monitor, Had a 1080p 180hz monitor. I would say you will need to turn down the brightness because the monitor is very bright. Cons: I am not a huge monitor enthusiast but I can tell when something is good or bad. This monitor doesn't have any flaws to my knowledge.

I've only had this monitor for a day but I'm thinking I will be returning it. Although some games look phenomenal on this monitor, the natural glow that you could expect from mini LED's has been giving me a headache and making me dizzy. I don't think this monitor is worth having one or two of your games look good. I will be trying it a few more days but I'm pretty set on returning it.
