Purchased to protect my new computer. Your computer will stay on for a bit when the power goes out allowing you to back up and safely shut down. Also functions as a surge protector

Over the years I had at least 3 of these. They really come in handy when the power goes out. I don't even get a hiccup on the my computer and there is enough time for me to finish my work or most importantly...my card game. I just wish getting a replacement battery were easier.

Especially for brownouts...a great backup source..great for laptops & printers.

Got great price for this battery backup, and intend to use it for TV, STB & Blu-Ray player, but haven't installed it yet. Have other APC battery backups that work great.

Back in the day when hard drives could fry faster than a funnel cake we dreaded those PC killing burps and belches from A/C power fluctuations. Now the UPS has made those expensive fits obsolete. We have one of these APC units at every work desk and playstation. Never a problem.

I own a few of these. The are reliable for years. Even though this model only provides about 10 mins, it's more than ample enough time to get what you need to do, done.

The APC Network 40 is an excellent ups backup. I continue to use APC backups because they are dependable and the replacement batteries normally are cheaper than other backups. I have had a number of APC backups over the years and never had one fail to protect my equipment.

This is a good APC (battery-up) for a home office setup and evening a small business!!

The APC line has always been my protection of choice. It's not really for a long term battery backup (about 30 minutes for an average system) but it gives you enough time to shutdown apps and save files before you completely lose power. In a long term black out instance, I'd go for the pricey 350VA or 500VA. In either case, it's protected my electronics during power flickers, brown outs and black outs. I live in a rural area so it's not uncommon for that to happen during the winter and rainy season months. Always been a good choice for me.

I bought this battery back up because of the frequent power outages in my office building. Now I feel confident that I wont lose any more files when the power decides to cut off.

I'd recommend this without reservation. More than adequate protection for the price

GREAT LONG-LASTING BATTERY FOR COMPUTERS. WE HAD ONE PRIOR TO THIS AND IT LASTED FOR YEARS. PROTECTS COMPUTER FROM SURGES AND LOSS OF DATA IN A POWER OUTAGE.

This company has excellent customer service. I owned a older model of this and the battery finally died. The company talked me through various issues and even sent follow up emails to make sure the new one I bought was ok. I would definitely buy from them again.

For the price point, you can not beat this battery backup. Works as advertised.

APC - Back-UPS 450VA Network 40 UPS is more than necessary for you if you are concerned about your hardware and the investment that you are making with your technology :) It gives you great peace of mind :) especially during thunderstorms and power surges :)

Have a cpap and out sleep number bed plugged into. So far has worked well.
