Bought two of these to backup a couple desktop computers. One was doa and had to be returned. When I was trying to trouble shoot the malfunctioning unit I looked it up online and got mixed opinions about whether this should be used on a computer at all. The normal APC powerchute software isn't included or cables to connect the backup to a PC. I had an old cable and connected the one I kept to the PC and regained that functionality. As a backup for home electronics I think it is fine, but as a backup for a desktop PC not so much.

Easy to set up and begin using. Protects as expected. Small so does not take up a lot of space.

This UPS is a great product. I use this item on my home network equipment, cable modem, and wireless router. This UPS works great to protect it from blackouts, brownouts, and power surges in an area that gets lots of electrical storms. Snow and thunderstorms for example. The UPS has cut down significantly the Internet outrages I used to have without this equipment. Highly recommended! MarcB Southern California

This item was purchased to replace an older APC unit which had a battery that wouldn't hold a charge. The price of replacing the battery was slightly less than replacing the unit, so I chose to replace the unit. This unit helps keep my internet modem and phone up and running when we lose power for around an hour. Plus it has surge protection for my computer equipment connected to it. Good price and excellent product.-

We use these APC units for surge protection and battery. They are reliable and rarely need replacement.

APC is a no brainer when picking a UPS. This unit is excellent for a single user desktop and monitor.

Great little unit for protecting a basic computer setup. Stability and protection for valuable irreplaceable data is a must these days; and this fits the bill at a cost effective price point. If your system is larger, you may want to invest in a higher capacity unit in terms of backup uptime and juel rating to cover your investment.

A good basic ups to cover the basic home network equipment - your router, cable modem, switch to ensure your infrastructure stays up and not get rebooted/reset during power surges, brown outs, etc.

Will not work if you have older wiring in your home. Rather large but seems to have all the bells and whistles. Got a great deal - but not looking to update the electrical in my home anytime soon.

I bought this to provide a minimum level of UPS protection form y home cable modem and router. It easily carries this load through any of our power outages.

I love the design of this UPS, has plenty of options for protecting your electronics. Plenty of backup time to shutdown computer during power outage.

Excellent power source for the money. Instructions straight forward and easy to use.

We live in southern Florida and experience occasional 5-10 second power loses. This results in our cable box needing to reboot which is at least a minimum of 5 minutes time. It interferes with both live TV and/or programs being recorded. This battery backup provides power during these occurrences and solves the problem of unwanted reboots. So far it has worked well.
