It does exactly what it's supposed to do. When the electricity is interrupted, it make a loud noise that scares the cat and keeps electricity flowing to my computer.

I live in the country and electricity is off and on everyday. I have a home network and need access from the server from work. These battery backups help to make that possible. I had another for 7 years and replaced it with two this time.

I always like buying and reselling APC products. I would recommend the 650 or 600VA, but sometime if you can get this for $40 its a decent price and good to use for routers/phone systems or other devices, always funny those with desktops who don't use this, surge protectors are junk, protect yourself with great APC products

I probably could have went one size larger, but it will meet my needs and I like the fact that you can mount it to the wall.

Back up battery surge protector is exactly what I needed.

I bought this mainly for the surge protect reason. It's a little small, capacity-wise for use as a battery backup, as it only supply power for my system for maybe 2 mins. Still enough time for me to save what I'm doing and shut down the system IF I'm working on it when the power goes out.

After I purchased my Dell Inspiron One 23" desktop computer I told the Best Buy associate that I needed to get a new and good surge protector and he showed me this one and at first I was not sure, but when he explained to me all that it does I was more than impressed, it's well worth the money, plus it was on sale... there is a battery charger so if the power goes out you have at least 15 minutes to save/back up any info you need to and it's also protects your PC from lightning storms and I say this because that's what happened to my old computer, during a huge lightning storm I did not have a good power surge protector.

Very happy with this UPS purchase. With the sensitivity of electronic equipment its good to have the peace of mind that hardware is protected from surge and will gently be turned off in case of power loss.
