    I have bought APC UPS systems in the past and all have worked as advertised. This unit is no exception. I think they are a little pricey, but still cheaper than replacing the electronics they protect. I also am I little disappointed that when the batteries stop working, the cost to replace the battery is about the same cost to buy a whole new unit.

    In my work we use UPS devices of various brands and styles. You have your big names, and you have your bargain basement models. When I wanted to replace the unit on my wife's computer I decided to spend the few extra dollars and get the APC. It's a good construction, the outlets are well placed, and the lifespan is extended because these units have replaceable batteries.

    These days it is important to keep your Wi-Fi Internet up and running during a power outage. That is the only thing this needs to do and it will do it for several hours supplying power for a 300ma draw. Plus the 2AM power hiccups are gone. Meaning I haven't had to reboot my router since I bought this UPS from Best Buy some months ago.
