does exactly what it says it will and lasts about 5 years

At first I thought it didn't work but silly me plugged my Mac into the wrong side LOL. 4 outlets are for surge protection only and other 4 go to the battery back up. I use an iMac and it works perfect for it. The battery won't last forever but I under stand it is just a backup and not a generator. The price is awesome as I paid several hundred dollars for an APC battery back in the 90's. I will keep buying APC as long as they keep their quality up.

I've been buying this Brand of UPS for many years and it has never let me down. During the worse storms and brown outs my Electronics have never been damaged. Thanks!

Out here in the country we get power surges all the time. After a close friend lost several appliances due to a power surge and no reimbursement was a wake up call to me. So I took matter into my own hands and purchased this APC back up unit. Since then, when a power surge happens, I hear a click from my unit and no power loss occurs. I feel so safe now knowing I have made a great decision in purchasing this great piece of equipment. "Better safe than sorry" as they say.

Had to get a new computer a couple years ago and when I bought that I got this too. I was so glad to get it cause the power where I live would always have slight surges constantly that would shut off the computer. Have had this product for 2 years and has saved my computer hundreds of times from power surges and outages. Only downfall I think is that whenever the battery kicks in theres a loud beep which can get pretty annoying if theres a surge in the middle of the night. Other than that everything works fine and have had no problems.

This battery is easy to use and will last a long time. We had one before and it lasted for years.

This does wonders when your power goes out and you still want to have some ability to go online or keep some vital systems alive until the power gets back. Now, its battery reserve is limited, especially whne you have many items hooked up to the battery, but still.. it's a great backup solution to have. Plus, it's a surge protector too... can't go wrong with that also :)

Does the job but they charge too much for replacement batteries and they can be hard to replace

I have several of these for business and home use. There have been a couple of occasions when they saved the day.

Installed it to keep some networking equipment and other miscellaneous electronics up for a minute or two when the power flickers during thunderstorms. Appears to be doing the job without difficulty.

Since this is labeled as a network UPS and comes with cat5e cables I'd expect it to be able to handle modern gigabit networks. Unfortunately, that is no the case. When running through the ethernet surge protection on this device my network peaked at ~80mbit whereas without I peak at ~890mbit (server has a 300ft wire run). Only reason it still get's three starts is that the battery backup does work to keep my network from resetting everytime our power blinks (which is numerous times per week). Hopefully protecting the input voltage is enough to save my equipment next time but i suspect I'll be replacing switches again next lightning storm.

I've been buying the APC brand for a number of years. They last longer and are are more reliable than other UPSs I have tried in the past.

Needed a battery back up for our editing system. Have one on another system and it works perfectly, so we bought another one.

There are other cheaper brands out there but these guys are the best and its worth the extra money. Their APC warranty is great too and if the device fails, they WILL pay for all items connected to it that were damaged. I ONCE switched to the other brand and immediately noticed how much lighter it was which is a sign of inferior battery design and cheaper electronic components internally. APC or nothing!

This is a nice heavy duty battery bank backup. Worth the money.

The TV in my RV crashed while using a power generator. Don't know if generator caused it but they do produce power surges and spikes.Purchased new TV and want to protect it,don't know if this product will protect TV but based on all info i can get i feel safe using TV,Computer and Phone charger on it while running generator out in the boonies.

Has good amount of outlets for our needs. Had one similar to this prior. Good brand for home use.
