No way to disable alarm

If it is in your bedroom, be prepared for frequent loud beeps and buzzes all night even if your computer is off. More expensive models such as BACK-UPS ES are compatible with an APC software called powerchute that allows you to modify or disable alarms. I would only buy such a model.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review the BN4001. The BN4001 is intended to protect networking equipment ( modem, router etc) and not a PC and so it does not come bundled with management software and a USB cable. The software may be used to disable to the On Battery alarm. Please contact our support team for further assistance and we will walk you through downloading the software, help you obtain a USB cable and explain how to disable the On Battery alarm.

No way to silence beep - I am returning it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike other UPS systems, this does not provide a way to disable the beep, so there will be a loud irritating beep every few seconds while operating on battery. That makes it unusable for me, so I am returning it.

Although you cannot silence the on battery alarm, we may be able to adjust some settings, so it does not transfer to battery as often.
