    This UPS allows me to have my laptop, printer and monitor protected as well as plugging in my modem and wifi for protection. It is the ideal size.

    I'm disappointed that this backup unit does not come with software to turn off the computer if the power goes out. Nor does it allow you to use any type of software for shutting down the computer. If I had know that, I would not have purchased this unit. I've had three backup units over the years and they were all capable of shutting off my computers. My feeling is that the ability to shut down down the computer during a power outages is important to protecting the computer and not to just provide electricity to keep it going for a few minutes.

    So I bought this specifically to keep my router operating when the power goes out. As expected, when the power went out at my house, the battery backup did last for a full 6 hours. Note: I only had my modem plugged to the battery backup. The more you plug in the faster it drains.
