The Apc-Back-UPS 900Va Battery is great it does its job it keeps things running when the power goes out until my standby Generator starts up.

This was a replacement. There was a huge thunderstorm and a lightning strike hit near us. Afterwards our television went silent and black. It turned out that the only thing that was damaged was our old APC UPS backup system. sll the devices we had plugged into it - our television, cable box, and sound system - were all fine. I ran over to Best Buy and picked up another one, plugged everything in to it, and we were back in business the same day.

This is a good unit. Works as it is suppose to do and gives me about 30 mins to get everything hooked up a proper shut down.

Great power supply. Bought two, one for the router and one for a lamp so im not in the dark if we loose power.

Was in the market for a new battery backup/UPC and this one was recommended to me from a friend. Works well and has plenty of outlets on it.

I'm disappointed that this backup unit does not come with software to turn off the computer if the power goes out. Nor does it allow you to use any type of software for shutting down the computer. If I had know that, I would not have purchased this unit. I've had three backup units over the years and they were all capable of shutting off my computers. My feeling is that the ability to shut down down the computer during a power outages is important to protecting the computer and not to just provide electricity to keep it going for a few minutes.
