Lasted 6 hours as promised

As expected, when the power went out at my house, the battery backup did last for a full 6 hours. Note: I only had my modem plugged to the battery backup. The more you plug in the faster it drains.

Great UPS for the home office

Dissaponted In This Battery Backup Unit

Nor does it allow you to use any type of software for shutting down the computer. If I had know that, I would not have purchased this unit. I've had three backup units over the years and they were all capable of shutting off my computers. My feeling is that the ability to shut down down the computer during a power outages is important to protecting the computer and not to just provide electricity to keep it going for a few minutes.
