It works great at around half the price of a gaming UPS. I had to move to the 900VA as my 600VA would not handle the PS5 on intensive games.

Only issues we have, Did not know that these may give off some type of battery fumes, which may be BAD for us. The unit was purchase to provide backup to our CPAP units, which are located in our bedroom and very close to our heads. Best Buy, you need to have DAMGER NOTIFICANS posted all over , it you plan to use for some type of HUMAN SUPPORT MACHINES..

One thing to be aware of is that it doesn't have a USB data port like other similar APC units. This would come into play if you wanted to use this unit to connect to the PowerChute Windows software on a connected PC.

The Model number tells us that this is part of a value line model that prioritizes price point and only has basic features that does not include a communication port. The equivalent unit to that has the communication port is the BE850G2.

Simple; no issues. I've used APC UPS/Surge protectors for several years (have one on my router). Had the 450 for 3 years before the battery failed. Picked this one because the battery can be replaced. I also like the layout--plenty of space for large plugs. Can't rate it a 5 until I see how long it lasts.

And replaces a power strip that I already had on my desk.

It’s worth the extra $$ not having to deal with downtime from other cheaper brands. This is keeping my fiber modem, router and 8port PoE switch running even when my electric utility goes out.
