After I plugged it in, it had a strong burning plastic smell. I unplugged it and returned it. When the return clerk opened the box to confirm the correct product was in it, he commented on the bad smell.

This is fine for me as I have it tucked out of the way. My only issue (and why it didn't get 5 stars) is that the battery is not user replaceable.
