I bought two of these and have been using them for about a month as I write this. Both are powering desktop computers. The computers stays on all the time. I also downloaded and have been using the free Powerchute software that provides useful and interesting information. We had a power outage yesterday and the UPSs performed well. I was pleased to see that the panel automatically displayed the run time remaining -- which is exactly what I needed to know. Both units outlasted the outage of about a half hour. I am impressed with these units. One powers a computer with two SSDs, two HDDs and an external four-HDD RAID. That configuration typically draws about 96 watts of power. The UPS can keep it going for about 45 minutes. Most desktop computers could probably run much longer. I have it set to shut down with eight minutes of UPS power remaining, but I shut down the computer immediately and left the RAID running. With just the RAID, the UPS had three hours of run time. This UPS model is easy to setup. Basically, just take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on, plug in devices and start using it. The front panel provides the most relevant information. Additionally, there is a control cable that connects the UPS with the computer. It allows the UPS to tell the computer to shut down when the UPS is running out of battery power. It also provides information to the Powerchute software. I have nothing negative to write about these UPSs. Compared to other UPSs I have used, these are the best. I am also currently using two previously purchased UPSs by another manufacturer that also perform well by do not have the features of these units. In general, I prefer to have a UPS installed between my expensive devices and the line power. A good UPS will not only provide backup power, but it will also improve the power during normal conditions. I have a UPS powering my cable modem and router, and because these devices use little power, our Internet can stay up for hours after the power goes out. I also have a UPS on our main TV and sound system. I can't imagine not having a UPS on equipment that costs many thousands of dollars.

This is the first battery backup system I have had. It was exceptionally easy to set up. Since this was my first experience with anything like this, I thought it would be much more involved than it turned out to be. SET UP: The first part of set up is connecting the battery that is inside the battery compartment. I did run into what I thought could be a problem that turned out to be nothing. There was a small spark when plugging in the connector to the battery. This definitely surprised me and made me wonder if I should go any further. I decided to go ahead and be prepared for anything that could go wrong. I have had absolutely no problems since. The next step was plugging in the backup system into the wall and then plugging the computer, monitor, modem and router into the back up side of the plugs. DESCRIPTION: It has 8 plugs, but only 4 of them are for backup and the other 4 are for surge protection only. There is a program I suggest you download onto the computer that is plugged into the backup system called “Powerchute Personal Edition”. The website to download this is in the user manual. It lets you know how much battery time is available and how much you can plug into the backup system without overloading. The program allows you to choose when to shut down the computer, if you do not do it manually. It also enables and disables alarms or turns alarms off for a determined period of time. I ran this battery backup system for approximately a week. During that time I did a couple of false power outages by unplugging this system from the outlet as if the power had gone out. It took over flawlessly keeping everything running and giving plenty of time for me to shut off the computer system in case of a long term outage. With the computer system I have plugged into it, I could have run the computer a good half hour to finish up any work that needed to be done on it and still shut the computer off. This is a wonderful way to save your computer if you live in an area with power outages. Since I live in a rural area it is a computer life saver.

Works better than other models ive used in the past. Simple setup

I bought this to provide battery back-up for the router and phone system. APC is terrific, and I have used their battery backups before. They are easy to set up, reliable, last a long time, and work well.

I got rid of my old satellite tv service and my terrible copper wire landline and WiFi provider. I was paying for services I wasn’t getting. I live in the country so there isn’t a lot of choices. I got my Starlink satellite system and couldn’t be happier but we do lose power for minutes every now and then and it takes the satellite system a few minutes to reset itself. So I decided to back up and protect my satellite system and my WiFi with this APC -UPS device. So far so good. No hiccups. It was an easy set up. And piece of mind.

Installs very easily and works great out of the box. I am using this to protect audio/visual gear. I've owned several APC products and have always been happy with them. Am using two other APC products to protect computers.

Purchased to replace a 10 yr old APC Back-UPS for my home office. Easy to set up and easy to use. I really like the display on front. Always recommend APC. I have a second APC that is approaching end of life and will replace that one with this same model here.

I love it. Works amazing. From the minute I plugged it into the wall it has been doing an amazing job. As soon as I plugged in the usb wire it was simple to download and install the software. I highly recommend this UPS.

A good, reliable backup. Easy to set up and install. A wide range of devices can be protected. I have never experienced any adverse issues of any kind.

UPS is easy to set up. The last one lasted over 5 years, so I hope this one is as efficient. I like the compact size.

Needed to replace a couple of APC 1500 units that were not working and these were easy to set up and use. They work great for home use and are very easy to read.

Definitely a must living in Miami. Power outages are very common in my areas especially during hurricanes. Gotta keep one just incase. Lasts forever and easy to use.
