My home theater surge protector blew out when the power company had faulty equipment fail causing a surge which affected 4 of my surge protectors. Lucky the surge protectors worked. This model works great with the USB plugs for Chromecast and Alexa.

I use this surge protector to protect my 4K television and the peripherals that connect to it. It replaced an older APC surge protector. Nothing was wrong with the old surge protector it was just time for a new one.
