    This was my wife's birthday present. She has had some pains learning how to use the item, switching from Kindle and all for her books. Some things work differently. Overall she stated please don't assume everyone that buys the item already knows how to USE the item. There should be more printed instructions in the box with the common uses and capabilities such as examples of how to use it. Older people being pulled into the use of technology are finding it a task.

    Had I known the 8th generation was coming out this year, I would have waited, although this one works great, but did have software issues that apple replaced my iPad because they couldn't fix it
