IPAD REVIEW
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all apple products, this is well worth the cost. Easy to learn and set up. I always need an extra tablet around with the kids.

Wonderful Apple product
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple IPod is an amazing product. It is bigger than my iPhone but not as big as my MacBook Pro. I use the iPod often. I can do almost everything I can do on my MacBook Pro!

iPad recommendation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 5th generation iPad to this one and went from 32GB to 128GB storage. What a great decision!!! Sure the larger storage was a little more $$$ but storage always ran lower on the old one. This newer generation iPad is highly recommended as it was noticeably snappier and streaming video was smoother with better resolution. I also noticed that a few games I play that had lag/would freeze during gameplay are now running without lagging/freezing. If you’re in the market for a new iPad and don’t want to wait for a newer release of the 9th generation (whenever that actually is), I would definitely recommend this!!!

Love my new iPad!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the iPad mini long enough that it's no longer being updated for apps, etc. Went to Best Buy looking for a new mini and the associate showed the strong points of both the mini and the full-size iPad. I ended up buying the latest (8th generation) 10.2 inch iPad and I'm loving it. Larger screen for videos, games and reading. Flawless performance in the short time that I've had it. I also bought and had the Geek Squad "install" a screen protector and a Targus case that folds into a support stand. I am very happy with my new iPad. Thank you to the associate who was very helpful with the entire transaction. (Sorry I don't recall her name.)

Just Buy It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is in response to the individual that thinks the iPad stinks that it doesn’t have facial recognition. The iPad is still the best tablet on the market for the price. If you want better features quit being cheap and buy the higher priced models. You can only put so much into a $329 tablet. It already has an amazing screen, chip, gpu. What else do you expect? This iPad will work for 90% of everyone that doesn’t have a laptop. I just got mine and I prefer the Touch ID. The new processor really shows. It’s about 2x as fast on all the tests. You might not need to upgrade if you have the 7th gen though. If you have an older model and want to upgrade, I say do it.

Best ipad yet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaces a 5 year old IPAD with this one. The new IPAd is way fastest. I went from 16gigs to 128 and no longer have to offload apps. The picture is brilliant and I could not be happier.

Great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my 5yr old son to continue learning with all this distance learning and Covid situations continuing to happen. Went with the 128g option since this is more than enough for his learning apps and games and media that he would use on the go or at home. Flawless operating performance, very smooth functionality, easy for him to maneuver through on his own. Also with the password protection for purchases I don’t have to worry about him buying up everything☺️ I would recommend this to anyone young or old.

New Ipad
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Apple IPad is really great. Perfect size and very light. It is worth it to get the 128GB. Very easy to operate and setup. If it lasts me as long as my last IPad I will be thrilled.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrific addition to my tech. A good size iPad that fills the gap between using a desktop computer and an iPhone. Very fast processor, easy to use functionally with a vivid screen.

Great Ipad 8th Gen. Happy !!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously owned an ipad mini 4 (which is great in every aspect and the screen size) and gave it to my neice. She’s happy too. I then decided to purchased Ipad 8th Gen. Although I was a little sceptical about the large screen size whether I will like it or not because I really liked the size of my previous Ipad mini 4. But when I started using it, I kind of liked the larger size for viewing photos, browsing, videos, games, emails and other work. This device is a pretty fast and responsive too like we expect any apple device and will usually perform all your day to day task. The camera is good also (but front camera could have been better).

Fantastic iPad
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, excellent picture and plenty of storage. I came from a 5th generation iPad and WOW, what a difference! I can mirror the screen from my MacBook Pro or share it to my Apple Tv.

Great for taking notes and having virtual meetings
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had a sixth generation iPad, but I was looking for an upgrade without having to drop too much money. I love the eighth generation so much! The size is a little bigger than the sixth gen, but I appreciate the bigger screen. I also like having tons of space - 128 GB. Haven't had any issues so far. I mainly use this for taking notes for school and work, watching lectures and TV shows, or meeting online with platforms like Zoom and Cisco Webex. I was a little surprised that the color was more rose gold than gold. I wish I had done more research and learned this sooner. Other than the color, this iPad meets all my needs!

Love this iPad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th iPad. It's just the right size; not too small to enjoy the screen nor too large to handle. Great picture, clarity, colors. User friendly. Plenty of memory (128GB).

Improved, easy-to-read screen & long-life battery
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful, easy-to-read screen--much better than my old one. The battery holds power very well, and the larger memory allows me to have more apps and faster response.

Pls do not hurt yourself laughing if you read this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor rating due to cons only. There are more pros than cons, but the 1 con is so severe, I was actually forced to debate in my thoughts as to return it or not and though im still deciding, I am leaning more towards returning (we shall see). First, I didnt know apple was still around. My wife and daughter wanted one as they played with one a friends house about a month ago and thats when I learned of this fact. I of course bought one for them and being the tech in the family, set it up and everything and played with it a bit. I actually got one for myself too. I was originally worried due to the 3gm of ram, but the OS seems lite enough, there is no delay response from activities on the device. Pros: Good battery life, Big screen, but not too big to make it awkward, nor is it heavy to use in a variety of holding positions (laying down, sitting, or standing) and touch screen with finger or pen is perfect, most apps from android are also on ios, I have had to find a few alternatives. Stylus pen function (bought a 3rd party pen for $40) is actually one of the selling points and I am pleased with how it functions. Camera function is fine, though may not be to some people, I did not purchase it with the the intent of using the camera except for video meetings, or document scanning. 128gb (I would have settled for 64gb if they had the option, only 32 or 128 is available in this model). Speakers are fine for my needs, watching a tv app while outside is still audible to me. Bluetooth seems to function fine as I have my headphones connected and have walked away from the Ipad without disconnecting (this is most likely due to the old Bluetooth chip as it is an old one, but the old ones are 200% better than the new ones, this is why its a pro.). Can hook up to Wifi 5Ghz bands. Learning curve from android to ios is not too bad for a general techy person. Cons: *The most severe con is the forced security measures* In order to download apps paid OR free, you need to enter either a pw/passcode/fingerprint. In some cases, though I have not discovered a pattern to why some apps and not others, even just opening an app requires said pw/passcode/fingerprint. The act of this is annoying in a lite complaint which I will use as I know some kids may read this review and I do not want to harm their developing minds with my true feelings on this. Needless to say, the combination of this useless action in addition to its true core uselessness dubbed security is dumbfounding. So let me get this straight...... We have to put on a pw/passcode/fingerprint for security from hackers (haha) and to prevent unwanted purchases generally by your kids. What a false notion... First, IF you are being targeted by a hacker, there is nothing you can do about it except delay them and that is only if you change any and all passwords every 5 mins on every app, account, and website login you have, but again that is just a delay. Second, to keep life flowing and prevent numerous interruptions, you are going to give your kids the pw/passcode/fingerprint so they dont have to bother you... Due to this imbecile logic and the frequency needed to conduct it is the most severe and detrimental con. With that said, It is absolutely hilarious and every time it pops up I laugh and that is the only reason I have not returned it yet (though still a few weeks left to return). My hope is I will find a way to bypass this. I have already spoken to apple support many times about this and they have all provided detailed steps of how to bypass this in my account ID settings, the problem is, those options they say are there, are not there.... but again it was funny and I accidently hurt myself laughing when I fell out of my chair onto the floor. So I am weighing the choice of returning this or when I need a good laugh, contact apple support. I like humor, so we will see. Other Cons: Slow charging (due to old "lightning" plug tech), in addition to slow file xfer when hooked "lightning" to pc. Its actually faster to just upload the files to my cloud and go to my pc and download them (or vise versa), especially if dealing with file sizes in the GBs. (since there is a work around ie my cloud, this may not be a con to you. This also explains my initial puzzlement about why there was no usb cord that came in the box, this is an indication they are fully aware of this issue. You can, as I did, purchase a separate usb cord, but another burst of laughter. I didnt know it was old tech, as previously mentioned I didnt know apple was still around, and learned the usb cord is not usb 3.0 and you cant get one as 3.0). With that said, every time I use my ipad I reminisce of the old days as I did have the first 3 Iphones before I swapped to android as my own research, at the time, indicated android was basically the end of apple (my original notion of not knowing apple still existed, I thought they went extinct a few years after I had swapped to android, but never checked.) Should you get it?: Depends on your use. My intended use was everyday web browsing and purchases, note taking (hate wasting paper), tv watching, video meeting on the go, simple things as that. With that said, I have a gaming laptop and a gaming PC for my demanding tasks, I only wanted a simple on the go solution. I would probably try this as a college device for classroom work, if it got too demanding and didnt work out, otherwise I would bring my gaming laptop which can handle anything. If I was in college (so no im not), I would probably go with the ipad pro for the larger ram if ios was able to suit my needs and I was an absolute apple fan/user, as that would be future proofing updated apps. I do not intend on buying another tablet until this one dies or the tech drastically changes. In my situation...(just recently discovering apple is still around), it would not be a choice of the 2 choices... ipad pro or laptop. Ipad pro is future proofing, but for less money, you can get a laptop with better specs which is further future proofing on a device that will last much longer than any tablet. I digress as this review is just on a simple lower cost regular ipad, not either ipad pro or laptop. For basic non demanding use, this Ipad is overall great if you can get past the obvious. There are plenty of accessories such as cases with built in stands, glass screen protection, etc..
