Good solid iPad at a decent price.

Good size - not too big or too small. Has newest operating system, so all up to date. Note - just 32 GB of storage, so beware of that. Be sure to consider which cover or keyboard you will want to add.

She said they wouldn’t like it, and didn’t need one. I had Best Buy points to use, and they came on sale one weekend. I purchased the iPad and gave it to my friend. A week later after I set it up and gave it to her she said, “ I really like this, I don’t think I’d give it up. “ ( not an exact quote, it had to be censored) I can’t imagine anyone not liking an iPad. They are so easy to use.

But if you want a relatively cheap entry into Apple’s ecosystem with power to carry you into the future, this would be a way to go through maybe go with 128gb since 32 can fill up quickly.
