It’s way faster than my 2nd generation IPad Air and also has a lot more storage capacity as well as many new features I have to try.

Didn’t take note that it still uses a lightning port while my iPhone and iPods both use USB-C so now I have to keep track of two cables. My error.

Base iPad does all the basics

Also just fine for creating small docs with Apples Pages and Numbers apps. Handles lightweight photo editing just fine, including raw processing and layers using Affinity Photo app. Slower than iPad Pro models in this respect but fine for handling single image files. Slow for batch processing. 9th gen iPad still has the older reflective screen which can be annoying in some lighting conditions. For Most tablet users this will do fine.
