I decided that for my moms bday I would buy her the same iPad that I have. she was unintentionally upgrading from a mini iPad 4 to this new and bigger model. I bought the pen along with the iPad and it was the best decision. she absolutely loves her new iPad. It is honestly a great iPad without having to spend a lot of money.

Works great and I would recommend the 9th Generation for someone learning to use an ipad. Both my college student children and wife have no issues using it and are satisfied with the performance. They say it's just fine for what they need it for, mostly web browsing, face time, and internet.
