    Got it for my daughter because I liked the one my son has. But for a few more dollars you can upgrade to the new iPad Air. So that’s what I did. But this iPad is great.

    Tried to use a samsung tablet for a low cost option for our 2 year old. That tablet was about $100 less that this, but in the end the savings was not worth it. Admittedly, we are long time Apple device users so that's not necessarily an indictment on the Samsung tablet. Trying to set any familiarity bias aside, I do still thing that Apple is creating a vastly superior product from the physical hardware to the software and user interface.
