One of the best things for me is the battery life—it easily lasts all day, whether I’m working, studying, or just relaxing with a movie. Plus, it works great with the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, so it’s perfect if you want a tablet that can double as a productivity tool. The build quality feels solid and premium, even if it’s not the newest design out there.

iPad model has a 10.2-inch Retina display, which is sharp, bright, and vibrant. The screen has high color accuracy, and the touch response is accurate and responsive. The tablet comes in three color options; Space Gray, Silver, and Gold, which allows users to choose a device that fits their style. The tablet has thick bezels, and the touch ID sensor is located at the bottom center of the device. The device is 7.5mm thick, weighs 487 grams, and is comfortable to hold and use, even for prolonged periods. This chip is fast, reliable, and handles multitasking better without lagging or stuttering. The device runs on Apple's latest iPadOS 15 operating system, providing the latest software and security updates. The iPadOS 15 has user-friendly navigation and customization tools that make it easy for users to organize their work and entertainment applications and offers the best balance of price and performance, and it can do most of the things that the more expensive iPad Pro can do—such as pair with a Smart Keyboard or Apple Pencil

I just purchased this (9th generation) iPad & I love it. It's completely better than my 6th generation iPad. The battery life is excellent, the screen is larger, & it came with the latest apple update. So I'm able to use all of the features that the latest iPhone has. I traded in my 6th generation so I was able to get my new iPad for $220.00. Thank you BestBuy in Orland Park, IL.

This 10.2” iPad 9th gen is an easier choice than its theoretical successor, the 10th gen. In fact, the 10th gen is more fitting as an “Air” model than as a humble plain-Jane entry-level iPad, especially since Apple had recently upgraded the actual Air into a near-Pro. I’ll leave it up to you to watch one of the many YouTube videos detailing the specs differences, with several vloggers and bloggers recommending this basic iPad as more than sufficient for almost every user. I’ll just share why it works well for me: 1. I have an iPhone, so being able to toggle a setting to receive and place calls on my iPad automatically linked to my phone is really convenient. 2. I can send or receive iMessages (texts from anyone else’s iPhone or iPad) without even turning on the calls feature, above, and ditto for FaceTime Audio and Video calls. 3. Apple’s App Store is still king of the app stores, and because we can’t load apps from outside sources, I don’t have to squash the malware that phished itself into mom’s Android phone. 4. Apple is much more likely to be approved for use in schools (exams etc), though Chromebooks are also now deeply entrenched. I’d say iPads dominate grades 1-6, Chromebooks take over high school, and iPads replace notebooks in college classes (with MacBooks dominated the dorm and apartments desks). 5. 64gb of standard storage is a significant upgrade over the 8th gen and matches the 10th gen, with almost three times the available (after iOS and pre installed apps) storage on prior 8th gen entry level iPad. 6. 3gb of RAM handles App switching slightly faster than the prior 2gb. 7. It’s fast. Faster than almost all Android tablets even now. 8. Very accurate colors and great brightness make for better Netflix. Before hunting for HDR, make sure your brightness is turned up higher first. A lot of people dial down the brightness, which lowers the contrast range (HDR is all about expanding that contrast range limit). Some negatives: The 10th gen and Air have stereo speakers on left and right sides in landscape, this 9th gen has both of them on the right side. The 10th has USB C, meaning simpler thumb drive transfers IF you have already upgraded to C connected thumb drives. HOWEVER, third party Lightning to thumb drive standard A are now cheaply and readily available, and work fine for me with my existing thumb drives. The camera on the 10th is in the top middle landscape location now. However the camera on the 9th was super upgraded to 12mp and Centerstage, although left in the original iPad location. With Centerstage and improved optics I’m ok with that. This 9th is still current in April 2023 but should be upgraded in the fall. I don’t think Apple will discontinue the concept of two entry level iPads though, just because the 10th is too expensive.

You would be crazy to not purchase this. The price point is perfect. This is my first iPad ever so wasn’t sure what to expect. I wanted something to sync with my iPhone, take decent photos, read, stream classes/videos/movies but I didn’t want to spend a fortune. It was bigger than expected(screen size) and lightweight. Holds a charge for what seems like forever. Super happy with this purchase.

The iPad 9th generation is like the superhero of tech gifts for parents! It swooped in with a sleek design, dazzling display, and more power than bad dad jokes. It's so user-friendly, even 81 year old pops can handle surfing the web and FaceTiming with fam. Definitely recommend for users of all ages.

I recently purchased the iPad 9th generation, and I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. The A13 Bionic chip delivers snappy responsiveness whether I'm multitasking, streaming videos, or playing games. The 10.2-inch Retina display is stunning, and I find myself enjoying everything from reading articles to sketching with the Apple Pencil. One of the things I appreciate most is the versatility of the iPad 9th gen. Being able to use it with the Smart Keyboard has transformed it into a productivity powerhouse, and the battery life easily lasts me through a full day of use. The build quality feels solid, and having Touch ID for security is a nice touch. Whether I'm using it for work, entertainment, or creative pursuits, the iPad 9th generation has exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic value for the price, and I find myself reaching for it over my laptop more often than not. If you're in the market for a new tablet, I highly recommend giving the iPad 9th gen a look.

Bought this iPad for my 90 year old mother. It was an upgrade for an older android time that had become obsolete and slow. She picked up its intuitive use right away. Now it is her connection the the world and the younger members of the family. Among other things she is happy with the battery life! Note: price is 50%+ up since the time I bought it (2023) two years ago!

As always, apple products excel in their design and usefulness. Pair it with a good keyboard and you've got a great tablet for meetings. Well constructed, light, and efficient. Larger memory models may suit your needs better - but the 64gb is perfect as a padfolio addition for meetings and notes.

i needed something lightweight that I can make notes on the bus, bed or just on the couch while watching something. I started using it for work as well to help gather all my notes easily during meetings or while on calls. I love that all my pictures are synced from my phone so that I can show it people on a bigger screen. It is quite versatile and easy to use. I really enjoy using this.

Great 9th Generation iPad on sale. Beautiful screen, fast, long battery life. Good sound too. Quick setup by putting my iPhone next to it and moving selected data items via Bluetooth to the iPad. My only complaint is the slight delay in delivery before Thanksgiving, but I was notified promptly of changes and it ended up being only two days late. Very happy with this, and with Best Buy's service.

Just updated from an older iPad Air. The display on this new one is crystal clear and the speed is outstanding. Transferring everything was simple with the cloud which is where I store everything (so why pay for more memory) for $0.99/month. Battery life is more than enough to get thru the day with heavy usage.
