Not a very good deal even at sub $300 price point

And if you step up slightly, the new ipad or ipad air with USB C connector just a much better options, and will last much longer too. I plan to buy this ipad as a side kick to my ipad pro m1, to view calendar and email exclusive..... But, I feel i cannot deal with it, in comparison, this ipad is like decades behind. So just returned it.
