    If you are not looking to spend $700-$800 the iPad Air is definitely still as functional vs the iPad Pro especially for what is asked for out of a IPad. You can use the Apple Pencil 1st generation and it uses the A12 chip vs the A10 chip used by the iPad 7th generation.
