I loved it, it's super light, large screen, fast charging, the battery lasts too much

I bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday. Her old Apple tablet was slow and in declining health. She loved the new one because it is so much faster and has more functionality.

My iPad is light in weight versus my computer, and keys being larger than my iPhone, which I truly love. There are a couple of things that didn’t come on it that I need to get help with such as WhatsApp and zoom. Otherwise I love it. I wish I didn’t have to go online to learn all the bells and whistles, and that there was Easy to follow directions.

The prices of units meeting my requirements spanned a 3-fold range from about $200 to over $700! I use my tablet mostly for e-reading, web browsing, watching videos, and playing games so didn’t need the P3 color gamut or newer M-series chip set. The 64GB 10.9-inch 10th generation iPad was in my sweet spot, more memory and speed than my old iPad, but not wildly more than I needed. Setup was easy. Once through the fingerprint recognition step, the touch ID is fast and convenient. After setting my laptop as a trusted device, Outlook contacts and calendar synched properly using iTunes. I am still getting used to using a USB-C (rather than Lightning) cable to charge and connect external devices. Having separate charging stations for the iPad and iPhone is an inconvenience, except when they both need charging at the same time. The 10th generation iPad has more than enough speed and memory to meet my needs. Colors are reasonably accurate. The camera, microphone, and external speakers are great for video conferencing. The 10th generation iPad supports the Apple Pencil 1 (not 2). Pairing must be done with a USB-C cable and the USB-C to Lightning adaptor that comes with the pencil. The same connection will also charge the pencil. If you want the convenience of wireless pairing and magnetic charging with the Apple Pencil 2, you will need the iPad Pro or Air.
