Disappointed: No Apple Pencil compatible

Very disappointed that the Apple Pencil does not work with this iPad! If you want a pencil this is not the iPad for you. We met with customer service , geek squad and also had a call with apple support where they finally admitted there is a problem with the 1st gen pencil connecting with this iPad version. We also tried Logitech and it did no work either. We confirmed the iPad will connect to other devices such as air pods, etc so it is a confirmed issue with the 1st gen pencil. I’ve researched online abs it’s been an ongoing issue that they claim will resolve with future software updates, but this problem is still unresolved.
