    I currently have a 2017 iPad Pro 9.7 for comparison. The price of the Air is a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the newer Pro. Although I wanted a Pro, I didn't think I needed the power of a M1. First of I am disappointed in the Air that it only came in 2 storage size, 64GB and 256GB. The iPad Air is slightly wider but has a larger viewing screen (edge to edge) which is a plus. The weight of the iPad Air seems heavier than the Pro which is a negative. I tend to hold the iPad with my thumbs on the front screen. With the Pro, there is a larger bezel to place my thumbs than the Air, which is a negative. The Pro is 5 years old so it is expected that the Air is much faster and responsive, which is a positive.

    I love this iPad! I had an iPad Air 2 (purchased Jan 2016) and was very happy that Best Buy gave me a $115 credit for it. The touch ID on the button at the top is very convenient and simple but I feel like it's one of the best features. My son, who bought an iPad Pro a few months ago is envious of this. This iPad is fast, the screen looks amazing and I have no regrets about buying it.

    I have always thought that iPad's were not necessary because I have a phone and laptop but I needed one for college and I did not want to bring my laptop with me. So far it has been amazing, it gets the job done. It's small enough that it doesn't take space but not as if it's a phone either. The design is beautiful, especially in this color and it works really well.

    I've been using this 4th gen iPad Air for several weeks now, and I'm fully satisfied. It's quick, easy to handle and has a great screen. I thought I wouldn't care much for its lack of a touch/sensor button on the front, but I actually like the use of the touch-ID button on the side. It's a bit bulkier than the 3rd gen iPad Air, but it remains overall a light and highly useful product. This was a good purchase.
