Great as an ipad, only ok as a laptop replacement.

This is my first Ipad, and it has performed as advertised. It is extremely well built, has a beautiful display, runs quickly and smoothly, and has an impressive battery life. The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is that I purchased it as a laptop replacement (Along with a keyboard case) and have found that certain Ipad versions of common programs (google drive, pages, gmail, etc) don't function as intuitively as on a macbook, and don't seem to have all the same capabilities. I'm sure this has always been the case with Ipad apps, but for a machine as powerful as this one, I expected similar usability to my old, trusty macbook pro from 2012.

I went into Best Buy not knowing anything about iPads. I've always had an iPhone, but never an iPad. I need the iPad for nursing school. I immediately went for the iPad Pro. The gentleman that helped me was honest and said that the iPad pro would be "overkill" and that I could easily get by with the newest iPad Air. He could have easily sold me the much more expensive iPad Pro. I've had the iPad Pro for about a week now and I'm loving it. I learn new things everyday. I am glad I purchased the Magic Keyboard when I got the iPad. One thing I noticed after using the iPad for a few days was that I thought I'd really like a mouse if there was one available. I went online on BestBuy.com and ordered myself the Magic Mouse. Couldn't be happier.

This is my first iPad, and quickly, realizing the space is more than I will likely use. This has almost replaced the use of my cell phone when at home because I can use a larger screen for sending text messages reading emails scrolling the Internet in a much more comfortable and friendly position, than using a hot laptop and power cord. I absolutely love it. The air is a good size not too big not too small. It fits perfectly in my work bag along with my lunchbox and work computer. I can see myself using this for many years to come. I have coupled the iPad with a paper like screen, protector, and a folio case. This trio definitely works well together at least for me. Only drawback which I knew going in was the matte or dull screen after installing the paperlike, but this is not an issue but noticeable.

Upgraded my previous IPad Air as it was too old to accept new system updates. This new one is fast, lighter, and well worth the deal I got on it for Memorial Day sale.

I bought an iPad Air 5th gen to take with me on a work conference at the last minute, because Apple delayed my custom MacBook order even longer due to supply chain issues. I've had an iPad Air before, so I knew it would do the light work I needed, but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of being able to remote-in to computers with this bad boy! I was able to do a lot more work than I anticipated. If your desktop computer is set up for remoting via Google's application or Microsoft Terminal Services, this iPad is just what you need to be able to do computer work on the go. At the conference, I was able to easily do my email work, writing/editing stuff, design/marketing stuff, and operate my company's custom software through MS Terminal. The 10.9 screen is just enough size wise, and is stunningly perfect when paired with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. I gave only four stars for durability, because when you're cleaning off the screen, sometimes it feels like I could EASILY stab this sucker or snap it in half. (I mean it is an Air, so I guess that's expected?) If you have a history of damaging devices of any kind, I highly recommend investing in a good case and screen protector to keep your investment safe.

Bought for wife for Christmas. Wanted something bigger than her phone for purchasing things. Clear pixelation, sturdy, fast processor and plenty of storage at 256mg. Updates are installed quickly. Lot of options.

This is perfect if you don’t need/want everything with the pro. It’s cheaper and does almost about everything the pro can. Great for school and work use.

After returning the other Ipad that gave me extreme issues, this one worked perfectly despite both being used and open box. Lacked original cable and charger, which was disappointing, but was in good condition and didn't crash constantly like the other model i got.

For what I use an iPad for it’s fine but nothing special. Battery life is much improved over older iPads. It does have a faster processor and image quality is very good. I ordered it as a stand alone and I’m finding adding a pencil and a keyboard would be beneficial but a lot more expensive. The extra cost might be a reason to look at a laptop for added functionality. If you need a basic tablet this is fine and I can recommend it. If you’re a heavy user, look close at a laptop.

First, I should point out that this iPad Air, replaced a nearly 10-year old first-generation iPad Air. There was nothing really wrong with the older device, though certain apps, like Disney+ and (HBO) Max were no longer compatible. And the home button became a bit finicky (sometimes requiring several presses to function). I realize 10 years is OLD for any kind of tech, but my old iPad Air still worked well. Of course, after I used the new iPad Air, I quickly realized how sluggish the old one was. Apps now load instantly, thanks to the M1 chip. The sound quality (without earbuds) is very clear. The new Liquid Retina display in particular is crisp and beautiful, and makes great use of a bigger screen. I don’t miss the headphone jack, and the fingerprint reader is really convenient. All in all, after a few weeks’ use, this is a superb upgrade and well worth the money.

I got the 256 gb, it’s my first iPad Air, it’s better than any tablet I’ve ever owned before. Would highly recommend this. I use this for reading comics, playing games, studying for school, time management, notes, and so much more. If you get this, I do recommend get the apple pen, I’ve been using mine a lot, not just in procreate.

I hesitated to spend the money but it was so worth it. I love how easy this was to setup and how fast it works. The staff at BB were very helpful and sowed me how to connect my ipad to my monitor and keyboard.
