Screen is only 60Hz but I don't see the need for higher refresh rate if you use it for media consumption and note taking. Excellent performance with M1 chip and 8Gb of ram. The only downsize is relatively short battery life due to powerful SOC (still very useable though).

I have not had it long enough to try all the apps. It has more apps that I need. I really miss the home button, I wish they did not make that change. I think this ipad would work well for someone who is more creative and for people who are working, which I am not. I loved my old ipad, but I needed to update to a higher version to be able to continue using some of the apps I used.

Way better than a regular ipad, although the new ipad is way better than last year’s. Not a pro, but a happy medium if you already have a MacBook Pro.

All my apps were installed. I had a little difficulty setting up the fingerprint ID but finally got it.
