The iPad (11th Gen) with the A16 chip is a fantastic pick for grandparents who want a bigger screen without the headache of a complicated computer. The 10.9-inch display makes a world of difference for watching movies or YouTube, especially for eyes that might struggle with a tiny phone screen. It’s also much better for staying in touch; using WhatsApp on a tablet this size is a breeze, and the landscape camera is finally in the right spot (on the long side), so they actually look at the camera during video calls instead of off to the side. Since it’s powered by the A16 chip, it’s plenty fast and won’t get laggy or frustrating to use, making it a reliable, "set-it-and-forget-it" gift that will last them for years.

Like many things that Apple makes, this A16 iPad is clean, polished, and just works… after a little trouble setting it up from an iPhone. I ended up connecting it to my Mac mini and was able to complete the setup. It works great now. The blue aluminum case is very elegant looking. I put a case on it because it’s a bit slippery without. Yes, you pay a premium or Apple tax on their products, but I got mine on sale for $299 and am sure it will last me the next five years no problem.

I walked in, and the first thing that I saw was a very kind young man asking me if I was looking for anything in particular. He showed me how to pick up and was extremely friendly. All I had to do was show the order and my ID, and I was set. The whole pickup took less than 10 minutes. The staff were extremely friendly, and I loved it. As for the product, it is a very good base/entry-level iPad. It is perfect for everyday use, and the battery life is excellent. As someone who reads a lot from eBooks, the screen is a perfect size, and it fulfills all my needs. For about $350, it is sweet.

The Apple iPad was purchased to replace an older model with far less storage, only 32 GB. The A16 model is thinner and weighs less than my older model. In addition to the extra storage, the new model is larger, and the screen details are outstanding, including the vibrant colors and sharp details. The A16 chip delivers exceptional speed compared to my older model. The responsiveness of the newer model is greatly improved as well as the battery life.
