Great gift but troublesome

The only thing that I didn't like is setting up the Apple child account to manage and monitor her usage, because you can't manage it unless you also have an Apple device; such as another iPad, iPhone, Mac Book, etc. So, I ended up buying an older refurbished iPad, so that I could manage her iPad.

Less expensive than replacing battery plus getting newer model. - It works great with better display.
