It was easy for me to use, since I already have an iPad, but my mother had difficulty using the Touch to Open option. I would suggest that if this is an issue for others (being able to use the fingerprint option to unlock), get one of the newer versions. But, it worked fine using her passcode.

I was so sad that my previous iPad Air (almost 10 years old) needed to be replaced, but am very happy with this upgrade! Had a very easy time with set-up. The display quality is outstanding!!
